Abstract: An apparatus and method for operation of an apparatus in a wireless communication system are provided. The apparatus may be a terminal, a chipset, or a base station. A terminal measures a reference signal in a frequency band that has been received as a configuration from a base station, and reports the result thereof to the base station. A case may occur in which the reference signal cannot be measured in the entire frequency band that has been received as a configuration. In this case, the terminal may notify the situation to the base station by reporting a value on which the terminal has pre-agreed with the base station.
