    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to aperiodic transmission of one or more instances of at least one synchronization signal to a user equipment (UE). For example, the base station may allocate a plurality of time resources for aperiodic transmission of one or more instances of at least one synchronization signal different from a synchronization signal block transmitted by the base station. The base station may further transmit the aperiodic transmission of the one or more instances of the at least one synchronization signal to at least one UE using the plurality of time resources.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for waveform parameters adaptation. Aspects provide for adapting waveforms to account for impairments that can occur when communicating in a high frequency band. A method that may be performed by a base station (BS) includes detecting one or more impairment conditions. The method includes determining a plurality of waveform parameters to adapt in response to the detected one or more impairment conditions. The method includes signaling the plurality of adapted waveform parameters to a user equipment (UE).

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive downlink control information (DCI) scheduling multiple physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resources for a set of uplink data messages. In some examples, the scheduled PUSCH resources may overlap with reserved or preconfigured uplink resources. The UE may determine, in accordance with a multiplexing configuration, a multiplexing schedule for multiplexing the scheduled PUSCH resources with the reserved or preconfigured uplink resources. The UE may transmit the set of uplink data messages on one or more of the scheduled PUSCH resources based on the multiplexing schedule. The described techniques may enable the UE to transmit the set of uplink data messages with improved reliability based on reducing a number of collisions between the set of uplink data messages and other uplink signals transmitted on the reserved or preconfigured uplink resources.

    Abstract: A wireless device (e.g., a UE or a base station) may generate a hybrid symbol including a CP portion, a data portion, and at least one of a header portion or a tail portion. The CP portion may be located at a beginning of the hybrid symbol, and may include one or more CP samples that correspond to a predefined number of samples at an end of the hybrid symbol. The data portion may be located after the header portion or before the tail portion. The header portion may be located after the CP portion, and may include one or more predefined header samples. The tail portion may be located at the end of the hybrid symbol, and may include one or more predefined tail samples. The wireless device may generate a waveform including the generated hybrid symbol. The wireless device may transmit a signal based on the generated waveform.

    Abstract: A RAN node can indicate to a UE that a compact measurement report is to be used for beam measurements in a measurement report. A compact measurement report uses beam index numbers to indicate a position in a reference set. The reference set has a listing of resource indicators for beam measurements. As such, a reported beam measurement associated with a beam index number is also associated with the resource indicator positioned in the reference set indicated by the beam index number. The beam index numbers can be transmitted using fewer bits than are used for a resource indicator. The payload for a measurement report such as a L-SINR or L-RSP L1 measurement report is thereby reduced when the measurement report is transmitted as a compact measurement report.
