摘要: Disclosed is a method for controlling an electro-mechanical brake system including a cascade controller, in which a position controller, a speed controller and a current controller are integrated to control a motor. The method includes determining whether an actual speed of a motor exceeds a command speed of the motor in an early stage of a motor operation; and restricting speed reduction of the motor until a braking force is generated if the actual speed of the motor exceeds the command speed of the motor in the early stage of the motor operation. Speed reduction of the motor is restricted until braking force is generated even if a speed error (actual speed of the motor>command speed of the motor) occurs in the early stage of the motor operation in the EMB system, thereby improving the braking responsiveness.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention include systems and methods for an online load of logic to a triple module redundant (TMR) control system using a cascading switch and designated controller. Application code having SFC logic may be first downloaded to a designated controller of the TMR system. After download to the designated controller, the other controllers of TMR system may be updated in a cascading (circular) pattern. After updating the second controller with the updated logic, the designated controller may provide correct state information to the second controller.

摘要: A relatively small, lightweight actuator includes a plurality of motors, an actuation element, a translation member, and a plurality of position sensors. The motors each supply a drive force to the actuation member, causing it to rotate. The translation member is configured, upon rotation of the actuator, to translate to a position. The position sensors sense the translational position of the translation member and the rotational position of each motor. The actuator is relatively small, lightweight, and can withstand the relatively severe environmental conditions and relatively significant levels of vibration and shock associated with many aerospace applications.

摘要: Various systems and methods for reducing cross coupling in proximate signals are disclosed. As one example, a system for reducing cross-coupling in adjacent signals that includes an active slew rate limiter circuit is disclosed. The active slew rate limiter circuit is operable to receive an input signal, and to provide an output signal based on the input signal with a controlled slew rate. In some cases, such systems may be included within a storage device that includes a read head. In such cases, the systems may operate to assure a substantially constant power dissipation within the read head.

摘要: In a servomotor controller, when a comparing circuit (70) detects that a position of an object to be controlled has been achieved to a target position, an operation inhibiting signal generating section (71) supplies an operation inhibiting signal (71a) to an operation permitting/inhibiting signal-processing section (66), and obtains an operation stopped state of an H bridge-driving processing section (67) for controlling driving of a motor. A LIN communication processing section (61) receives information to a self address supplied from a superordiante device, and outputs a forced operation (recovery) request (61R) in the received information. The operation state of the H bridge-driving processing section (67) is obtained through an operation permitting trigger signal generating section (65) and the operation permitting/inhibiting signal-processing section (66) through the H bridge-driving processing section (67). The motor is accordingly driven, and the feedback control based on the difference between the target position and the present position is restarted.

摘要: A control system for operating a device. The control system comprises a plurality of command elements generating command signals and a control element having a plurality of control modes. Each control mode includes a transfer function output effective to operate the device in a predetermined manner and is selectable in accordance with the status of at least one of the command signals. The transfer function output of a nonselected control mode is made to substantially track the transfer function output of a selected control mode such that the transfer function output of the nonselected control mode is substantially similar in magnitude to the transfer function output of the selected mode when the control element selects the nonselected mode. A method employs the system.

摘要: A pair of complementary magnetic actuators controls a stage in a high-precision positioning instrument in a single coordinate direction. Additional pairs of complementary magnetic actuators can be used to provide control of the stage in other coordinate directions. A small current through the windings of both magnetic actuators provides a zero net force on the fine stage, thus maintaining the position of the fine stage. The small current used to control the fine stage minimizes the RMS power gain. By increasing the current in one magnetic actuator while decreasing the current in the other, a net force is generated for large accelerations of the stage. Control of the magnetic actuators is simplified by simultaneously increasing and decreasing the current through the windings of the complementary magnetic actuators prior to accelerating the stage. Additionally, a feedforward command can control the magnetic actuators to decrease the settling time of the system.

摘要: A spindle positioning method for high-speed positioning of a spindle by making the best use of the decelerating capability of a spindle motor. When a fixed-position stop command is generated while the operation of the spindle motor is controlled according to speed control, the motor rotation speed is reduced in accordance with the speed control to a speed N lower than or equal to a maximum rotational speed N1, which defines a constant torque region, and a control mode is switched from the speed control mode to position control mode at a point where the rotational speed is reduced to the speed N. Simultaneously, a value specifying the relation between the present position and target stop position of the motor with respect to one revolution of the spindle is set in an error counter as an initial position deviation. To carry out linear acceleration/deceleration control thereafter up to a final stop position, a position feedback quantity Pf is supplied from the position detector to the error counter, to obtain a speed command Vcmd, which is transferred to a speed loop process.

摘要: This improved signal discontinuity compensation method compensates for discontinuity in the relationship between motor position commands received by a motor driver, and motor current signals sent to a motor by the motor driver. A best fit approximation of the signal discontinuity is generated based on median data points which provides resistance to anomalous data points. The compensation is accomplished by adding an offset to specific motor position commands sent to the motor driver based on the best fit approximation. The offset command maximizes accuracy and control over motor motion by avoiding the motor driver's motor current signal discontinuity.
