Abstract: A method of non-coherent wireless communication performed by a wireless communication device includes generating information bits for transmission to another wireless communication device. The method also includes identifying a configuration for a polar code encoder for encoding the information bits. The method further includes encoding a set of the information bits with a polar code encoding operation based on the configuration to generate a codeword, the configuration rendering the polar code encoding operation incapable of generating a codeword that is a bit-flipped counterpart of another codeword that the polar code encoding operation is capable of generating based on the configuration. The method still further includes transmitting the codeword via a wireless channel without a reference signal.

An example method generally includes generating a first orthogonal sequence for a first payload for a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) to be transmitted; generating a second orthogonal sequence for a second payload for the PUCCH to be transmitted; mapping the first orthogonal sequence to a first set of virtual resources and the second orthogonal sequence to a second set of virtual resources; mapping the first set of virtual resources to a first set of physical resources and the second set of virtual resources to a second set of physical resources; and transmitting the first and second payloads for the PUCCH on the first and second sets of physical resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A network entity may transmit a set of spatially multiplexed synchronization signals in a same symbol period. The set of spatially multiplexed synchronization signals may indicate a parameter, such as a cell identifier, for the network entity. The network entity may select a sequence for each synchronization signal of the set. A user equipment (UE) may monitor for the set of spatially multiplexed synchronization signals during the same symbol period. The UE may differentiate each synchronization signal based on a respective sequence used to transmit each synchronization signal. The UE may determine that the set of spatially multiplexed synchronization signals were transmitted by the network entity using multiple antenna ports. The UE may determine the parameter for the network entity based on receiving the set of spatially multiplexed synchronization signals.

Abstract: In an example, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a message indicating activation or reactivation of semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) between the UE and the base station. The UE may determine, based on the message, a first resource for transmitting a first acknowledgement/negative-acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) to acknowledge reception of the message. The UE may also receive, from the base station and subsequent to the receiving of the message, an SPS message. The UE may also determine a second resource for transmitting a second ACK/NACK to acknowledge reception of the SPS message. The UE may also transmit, to the base station, the first ACK/NACK on the first resource and the second ACK/NACK on the second resource.

Abstract: Aspects relate to providing a status bit to a base station, where the status bit indicates whether all of multiple downlink transmissions have been successfully decoded. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives a plurality of downlink transmissions from a base station, and generates a plurality of acknowledgement data respectively for the plurality of downlink transmissions, each of the plurality of acknowledgement data indicating whether a respective downlink transmission of the plurality of downlink transmissions has been successfully decoded. The UE further transmits, to the base station, at least one status bit based on the plurality of acknowledgement data, the at least one status bit indicating whether all of the plurality of downlink transmissions have been successfully decoded.
