Abstract: Aspects directed towards a network-assisted sidelink scheduling operation are disclosed. In one example, a scheduled entity receives a grant of resources from a scheduling entity operating according to a legacy radio access technology (RAT), and translates the grant of resources from a legacy configuration of resources to a non-legacy configuration of resources. The scheduled entity then performs a sidelink communication via the non-legacy configuration of resources. In another example, a scheduling entity operating according to a legacy RAT transmits a system information block (SIB) to a scheduled entity indicating that the scheduling entity can allocate non-legacy resources. The scheduling entity then receives a request for resources from the scheduled entity that corresponds to a non-legacy sidelink communication, and provides a grant of resources to the scheduled entity that includes a non-legacy-specific frequency for transmitting the non-legacy sidelink communication.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some wireless communications systems, some user equipment (UEs) may be configured for sidelink communications using a first radio access technology (RAT) (e.g., via a cellular network) and other wireless devices may be configured for sidelink communications using a second RAT (e.g., via a wireless local area network (WLAN)). In order to mitigate interference between communications using the first and second RAT, when a first UE is scheduled to transmit or receive a data transmission on a set of resources using the first RAT, the first UE may transmit a message using the second RAT indicating that the data transmission is to occur on the set of resources. Accordingly, the second device may receive the message and determine to refrain from communicating on the set of resources.

Abstract: Various features described herein relate to DM-RS design for a control channel and a data channel that maybe used for vehicular communications. In an aspect, a UE may determine a base DM-RS sequence associated with a control channel for V2V communication. The UE may further determine a DM-RS sequence based on the base DM-RS sequence and an identity of the UE, and transmit a plurality of DM-RS symbols within the control channel in a subframe using the DM-RS sequence. In another aspect, a UE may generate a plurality of DM-RS sequences, each DM-RS sequence maybe generated for a corresponding DM-RS symbol of a plurality of DM-RS symbols associated with a data channel for V2V communication based on a DM-RS symbol number of the corresponding DM-RS symbol. The UE may transmit the plurality of DM-RS symbols within the data channel in a subframe using the plurality of DM-RS sequences.

Abstract: A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus may be a base station configured to receive packets from a plurality of User Equipments (UEs), combine a subset of the packets from the plurality of UEs into a combined packet, and broadcast the combined packet from the base station. In some aspects, a UE may be configured to receive a combined packet in a broadcast from a base station, attempt to decode a plurality of packets combined in the combined packet, and transmit an indication to the base station indicating at least one packet in the combined packet for retransmission. In some aspects, a UE may be configured to generate a packet for relay from a base station, and transmit the packet to the base station with an indication indicating whether the base station should broadcast the packet as a single packet along with broadcasting the packet in a combined packet.

Abstract: Using a modulation and coding scheme for a control channel that is more conservative than needed to fulfill the control function may waste resources. To address this issue, a variable size control channel is provided. An apparatus in such a system may be configured to determine an aggregation level of a plurality of aggregation levels associated with a control channel. Each aggregation level of the plurality of aggregation levels is associated with a number of time-frequency resources dedicated for the control channel and a particular modulation and coding scheme used for modulating and coding control information in the control channel. The apparatus is configured to receive control information in the time-frequency resources associated with the aggregation level and decode the control information received in the time-frequency resources associated with the determined aggregation level. The decoding is based on the particular modulation and coding scheme associated with the determined aggregation level.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive one or more sidelink communications on a sidelink between the UE and another UE. The UE may transmit one or more hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback communications, associated with the one or more sidelink communications, on the sidelink and in a HARQ feedback resource included in a multi-slot feedback reporting period. The HARQ feedback resource may include a set of negative acknowledgement (NACK) resources or the set of NACK resources and a set of acknowledgement (ACK) resources. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication over one or more determined transmission time intervals (TTIs) in an unlicensed (shared) radio frequency spectrum band. A user equipment (UE) such as a vehicle may perform one or more listen-before-talk (LBT) mechanisms on the shared radio frequency spectrum and contend for access to available system resources. Upon gaining access, the UE may determine a data payload for transmission. The data type or payload may exceed a threshold and as a result, the UE may bundle a multiple TTIs for continuous data transmission. The UE may send control information, indicating a TTI bundling implementation as well as modification to the control or LBT symbols of subsequent TTIs of the data transmission, and subsequently perform data transmission over a plurality of TTIs.
