Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support vehicle alerting, such as in autonomous driving networks. Vehicle alerting may provide messages alerting other vehicles and/or network components to instances of autonomous driving disengagement. A vehicle operating according to an autonomous vehicle (AV) mode may transmit an over-the-air message to one or more other devices, such as nodes of an autonomous driving network, to alert the one or more devices to the vehicle disengaging the AV mode. A device receiving an autonomous disengagement message may alter one or more autonomous operation aspects in response to the over-the-air message. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes receiving, from a first mobile entity, first information of the first mobile entity. The method also includes transmitting, to the first mobile entity, a group configuration information. The group configuration information is generated based on the map information and indicates a group that includes the first mobile entity and a second mobile entity. The method further includes transmitting alert information to the group. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

A 5G device may decode a control channel transmission of a safety message in a vehicle-to-everything system during a first portion of a time period. The 5G device may identify, based at least in part on the decoding, a pool of resource blocks (RBs) that are available for the time period. The 5G device may select a subset of RBs from the available pool of RBs for a transmission during a second portion of the time period.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for an on-board unit (OBU) associated with a vehicle to offload traffic to a handheld user equipment (UE) associated with the vehicle. The UE may receive an indication of time-frequency resources to use for transmitting one or more messages on behalf of the OBU, and may transmit the one or more messages to a network entity via the time-frequency resources. In some cases, a status of the OBU may indicate that the OBU is unable to meet requirements for communicating with the network entity, which may trigger the offloading. For example, the OBU may determine to offload the traffic based on identifying the status. Additionally, or alternatively, the network entity may indicate that the OBU is to offload the traffic after receiving a status report from the OBU.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a user equipment (UE) using a first radio access technology (RAT) may transmit a channel reservation preamble of a second RAT (e.g., a Wi-Fi preamble) that provides an indication to devices of the second RAT that the UE has obtained a shared channel for a channel occupancy time (COT). The UE may determine a start time of the channel reservation preamble relative to a start time of a first symbol of a transmission slot based at least in part on a time duration of the first symbol. The channel reservation preamble may reserve multiple slots or a single slot. A UE transmitting on two or more sub-channels may transmit a preamble on one of the sub-channels or on each of the sub-channels.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For example, a wireless device may support multi-band joint communication and radar (JCR) techniques. In some cases, a first wireless device may transmit, to a second wireless device, a capability message indicating whether a set of bands supports JCR operations. The second wireless device may transmit control signaling, based on the capability message, indicating a set of parameters for JCR operations including resources allocated for JCR operations. The first wireless device may transmit a JCR signal based on the control signaling via the allocated resources. For example, the first wireless device may transmit the signal for both communications and radar sensing in accordance with the set of parameters via the allocated resources.

Abstract: Techniques described herein leverage existing localization sensors or V2X devices to detect one or more other vehicles that include wireless systems that can interfere with in-vehicle wireless networks. The localization sensors or V2X devices can provide information to determine a location, a heading, a speed, a size, and a type of other vehicles. This information can be used to determine a probability of network interference and allow the in-vehicle wireless networks to employ one or more techniques to mitigate the effects of the interference. The interference mitigation techniques can include increasing or decreasing transmitter power, changing a frequency or a channel of a wireless transmitter, or activating one or more additional transmitters as relays to improve reliability.
