Abstract:
An image recording apparatus including a controller for determining whether a recording operation is a first or a second recording operation and for determining whether an error that suspends the recording operation is occurring, wherein when the recording operation is the first recording operation and the error is occurring, the occurrence of the error is kept notified until the error is fixed, wherein when the recording operation is the second recording operation and the error is occurring, the occurrence of the error is kept notified for a predetermined time, wherein the recording operation, the performance of which was suspended by the occurrence of the error, is cancelled after the occurrence of the error has been kept notified for the predetermined time, and wherein the suspended recording operation is performed on condition that the error is fixed in a time period during which the occurrence of the error is kept notified.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus that is openable by a first case and a second case being unfolded, and includes an imaging section which is provided in the second case and opposed to the first case where a read target medium is placed, a recognition section which, when a predetermined indicator on the first case side is photographed by the imaging section, recognizes the predetermined indicator by analyzing a photographed image, a judgment section which judges whether or not the first case and the second case have been closed into a predetermined state, based on a result of recognition of the indicator by the recognition section, and a determination section which determines the photographed image taken by the imaging section as a storage target, when the judgment section judges that the first case and the second case have been closed into the predetermined state.
Abstract:
A data processing apparatus of this invention, which has a storage unit, includes a deletion unit that deletes user data stored in the storage unit. The data processing apparatus further includes a generation unit that generates status information indicating presence or absence of the user data in a storage area that each of a plurality of addresses assigned to the storage unit indicates, and a presentation unit that presents an image according to the status information, to a user.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and computer program products are provided that determine the merit of a given captured image, and apply an intelligent policy to the uploading of the image. An image may be captured by an image capturing device of a user. A merit score is determined for the captured image. The merit score indicates a predicted value of the captured image to the user. An access policy is assigned to the captured image based on the determined merit score. Access to the captured image is enabled based on the assigned access policy. For instance, the captured image may be deleted, may be automatically uploaded to a server over a fee-free network connection only, may be uploaded to the server over any available network connection, may be uploaded at a reduced image resolution, and/or may be uploaded at full image resolution, depending on the access policy.
Abstract:
Provided are a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions and a job managing apparatus, for managing jobs of an image forming apparatus. The instructions cause a processor to perform the following operations. The operations include acquiring information about data jobs stored in a storing section of the image forming apparatus, and creating a graph and a list based on the information about the data of the jobs. The graph indicates the amount of usage of the storing section for each job type. The list includes a job item including job contents such as information of a job type, for each job. The operations further include controlling a display unit to display a job managing screen including the graph and the list and update the graph on the job managing screen in response to an operation on the list to delete one or more jobs.
Abstract:
In accordance with one embodiment, a color erasing apparatus comprises a reading section, a storage section and a control section. The reading section reads an image formed on a sheet to acquire image data. The storage section stores the image data acquired by the reading section. The control section determines whether or not there exists a mark in the image data, and carries out a control to, in a case in which there exists a mark in the image data, delete the image data read by the reading section from the storage section if it is determined that there exists a mark and the image data acquired by the reading section coincides with the image data stored through the processing of an image forming apparatus when determining whether or not the image data read by the reading section coincides with the image data stored in the storage section in advance, or store the image data read by the reading section in the storage section if it is determined that the image data doesn't coincide with each other.
Abstract:
A mechanism is provided for identifying one or more eligible image candidates. Responsive to a determination that the storage of a recently captured image raising an allocated captured images memory space in a storage to a point that storage of a next captured image would raise the allocated captured images memory space in the storage above the predetermined threshold, a criteria group in a set of criteria groups is identified to utilize for identification of one or more images candidates from a set of stored images in the storage. The one or more images candidates from the set of stored images in the storage are identified utilizing one or more image identification criteria in the criteria group. The one or more image candidates are then presented to a user.
Abstract:
In an image reading apparatus, a control device controls a reading unit to start reading a document; stores first image data in a storage unit on a block-to-block basis to sequentially store each of a plurality of first blocks of data, the plurality of first blocks included in the first image data; performs, each time each first block of data is stored in the storage unit, a plurality of image processing on the first block of data to generate a second block of data including a plurality of types of data different from one another; and deletes one of the plurality of first blocks of data from the storage unit after completion of the plurality of image processing on the one of the plurality of first blocks of data before completion of the plurality of image processing on all of the plurality of first blocks of data.
