Abstract: A microstructured passage module for aerosol generator is provided. The module includes a plate overlaid by a cover thus forming a compartment, an entrance for a liquid and an exit. The plate includes a plurality of walls parallel to each other over its entire width so as to define a plurality of passages therebetween. Moreover, a plurality of pillars protruding from the plate are distributed in at least section of the passages. A column is disposed proximate to the exit and blocks a substantial part thereof, leaving longitudinal aisles for the liquid to flow towards the exit. The liquid flows through the compartment from the entrance to the exit such that an aerosol is produced. A distance between two adjacent pillars is D and the longitudinal aisle has a width W. The D and the W are specifically configured such that the aerosol has a predetermined MMAD.

Abstract: A microstructured passage module for aerosolizer is disclosed. The module includes a plate overlaid by a cover, an entrance, an exit, a plurality of protrusions and a plurality of pillars. The protrusions and pillars project from and are integral parts of the plate. Further, the plate can be divided into a first zone proximate to the entrance and a second zone proximate to the exit. The protrusions are arranged into parallel rows in a direction from the entrance to the exit and form parallel passages therebetween in the first zone for the liquid to flow along. The protrusions in each column are spaced from one another by tunnels. The pillars are interposingly disposed in the second zone and define certain channels therebetween. Moreover, a plurality of pillars further disposed in the passages increase a flow resistance for the liquid flowing through the passages.

Abstract: A microneedle structure and a biodegradable microneedle thereof are provided. The biodegradable microneedle defining a central axis includes a first step portion and a second step portion that is taperedly extending from the first step portion along the central axis. The biodegradable microneedle has a total height along the central axis and a maximum internal diameter along a direction perpendicular to the central axis. The total height is within a range of 380-430 μm, and an aspect ratio defined by the total height divided by the maximum internal diameter is within a range of 1.2-2.2. In a cross section of the biodegradable microneedle having the central axis, a part of the second step portion arranged away from the first step portion having a corner. The corner has an angle within a range of 65-100 degrees and faces toward the first step portion.

Abstract: A locking mechanism for an aerosol drug delivery device includes a first housing, a second housing, a screw and a fastening member. Abstract: A detachable atomizing device and a container thereof are provided. The container is detachably assembled to an atomizing assembly. The container includes a cup and a flexible film. The cup has an opening arranged at an end thereof, the flexible film covers the opening of the cup, and the flexible film has a tension region and an outer ring-shaped region that surrounds the tension region. The tension region has a plurality of atomizing holes having an average diameter within a range of 1 μm to 20 μm, and the outer ring-shaped region is attached to the cup. When the cup is assembled to the atomizing assembly, a tension value of the tension region of the flexible film is increased from an initial tension value to an atomizing tension value by being pressed from the atomizing assembly, and the atomizing holes of the tension region are configured to allow liquid to pass there-through and to be formed as aerosol mist having an average atomized particle diameter less than a predetermined value. Accordingly, the cup and the flexible film that often need to be replaced are isolated from the atomizing assembly, and an expensive vibrator is disposed in the atomizing assembly, so that the service life of the detachable atomizing device can be extended.

Abstract: An apparatus suitable for pressurized liquid transfusion is disclosed. The apparatus includes a nozzle assembly enclosed by the combination of a casing and a check nut. The nozzle assembly includes an elastomeric ring and a nozzle received by the combination of a cap and a receptacle. The elastomeric ring surrounds the nozzle and a proper seal is created therebetween. The dimension of the internal contour of the elastomeric ring is a bit smaller than the nozzle. The elastomeric ring is stretched so as to receive the nozzle. Additional processing may be applied to the elastomeric ring to achieve a different type of proper seal. Pressurized liquid passes through the apparatus so as to be transfused. The aforementioned seal serves to avoid leakage or pressure loss at the apparatus so as to avoid undesired aerosolization effects of an aerosolizer the apparatus is installed in.

Abstract: An electrical connection structure for use in a micro piezoelectric pump is disclosed. Abstract: An assembly method of an apparatus suitable for pressurized liquid transfusion is disclosed. In one step, a nozzle is to be inserted into the through hole of an elastomeric ring. Because the dimension of the nozzle is larger than the through hole, the internal wall of the elastomeric ring is tensioned and deformed so as to fit the nozzle. In one step, the elastomeric ring along with the nozzle is inserted into a receptacle. The dimension of the outer contour of the elastomeric ring needs to be decreased so as to be accommodated by the receptacle. Due to the flexibility of the elastomeric ring, it resumes at least partially to its original shape. Therefore, proper seal is created and maintained between the elastomeric ring and the nozzle such that leakage and pressure loss may be prevented. The foregoing is capable of working under high-pressured environment for prolonged use.
