    Abstract: Provided is a multichannel pipette whose number of channels can be arbitrarily set and managed to improve usability of the multichannel pipette and improve productivity, quality control, and maintainability in a research site. A multichannel pipette includes a pipette main body, a lower part attached to a lower end portion of the pipette main body, and a plurality of chip holder units housed inside the lower part, wherein each of the chip holder units has a connecting portion attachable to and removable from any of a plurality of to-be-connected portions provided in a unit case inside the lower part, and each of the chip holder units is attachable to and removable from the lower part.

    Abstract: To provide an engine test apparatus and method, which can easily enhance the test accuracy.The engine test apparatus 10 of the present invention includes: a dynamometer 14, which applies torque to an output shaft of an engine 12 via a shaft member 32; a torque meter 36, which is disposed on the shaft member 32 and measures torque; and a control device 20, which computes a torque command value using a rotational frequency feedback value in order to apply feedback control based on a rotational frequency to the dynamometer 14. The control device 20 subtracts a value measured by the torque meter 14 from the torque command value to find a correction torque command value and controls the dynamometer 14 using the correction torque command value.

    Abstract: A load cell includes a flexural element in which a Roberval mechanism is formed by a pair of top and bottom parallel beams each including two thin sections at a back and a front in a longitudinal direction, which are integrated with a fixed portion and a movable portion, and strain gauges bonded to the thin sections. Strain gauges are bonded to one of the thin sections of pulling side and to one of the thin sections of compressing side, and circular apertures are formed through the remaining two thin sections. The performances of the load cell such as the reduction of the measurement error and of the period of time before the start of the measurement are achieved.
