摘要: Systems and methods for modifying an eye including a light source with light elements, a photodetector producing a signal representing images of the light elements and corresponding to locations on an ocular surface, an optical system directing light from the light elements reflected by the ocular surface onto the photodetector, a memory including code for processing the signal, and a processor for executing the code and outputting shape data for use in calculating a treatment plan for the eye. The code includes instructions for determining the shape data based on a combination of zonal reconstruction and polynomial fitting using the plurality of images.

摘要: An eye measurement instrument includes: an optical measurement subsystem for measuring an optical characteristic of an eye; an imaging system, including: a camera, an optical system including a movable optical element, and an actuator to move the movable optical element. When the movable optical element is moved into a first position outside an optical path between the eye and the camera, then the optical system focuses a first feature of the eye at the camera, and the camera is configured to capture a first image of the eye, and when the movable element is moved in a second position in the optical path then the optical system focuses a second feature of the eye, different from the first feature, at the camera, and the camera captures a second image of the eye.

摘要: A system for predicting optical power for an intraocular lens based upon measured biometric parameters in a patient's eye includes: a biometric reader capable of measuring one or more biometric parameters of the patient's eye and obtaining at least one value for at least one of the one or more biometric parameters, and further measuring a representation of a corneal topography of the patient's eye; a processor; and a computer readable medium coupled to the processor and having stored thereon a program that upon execution causes the processor to: receive the at least one value; obtain a corneal spherical aberration (SA) based upon the representation of the corneal topography; and calculate an optimized optical power to obtain a desired postoperative condition by applying the received at least one value and the obtained corneal spherical aberration to a modified regression.

摘要: A system includes: a group of first light sources arranged around a central axis, the group being separated from the axis by a radial distance defining an aperture in the group; a plurality of second light sources; a detector array; and an optical system adapted to provide light from the second light sources through the aperture to a cornea of an eye, and to provide images of the first light sources and images of the second light sources from the cornea, through the aperture, to the detector array. The optical system includes a field flattener such that a shape of a surface of best focus on the detector array curves away from detector array in generally a same direction as the eye and a sclera of the eye.

摘要: Devices, systems, and methods that facilitate optical analysis, particularly for the diagnosis and treatment of refractive errors of the eye. An optical diagnostic method for an eye includes obtaining a sequence of aberration measurements of the eye, identifying an outlier aberration measurement of the sequence of aberration measurements, and excluding the outlier aberration measurement from the sequence of aberration measurements to produce a qualified sequence of aberration measurements. The sequence of aberrations measurements can be obtained by using a wavefront sensor. An optical correction for the eye can be formulated in response to the qualified sequence of aberration measurements.

摘要: Angle multiplexed optical coherence tomography systems and methods can be used to evaluate ocular tissue and other anatomical structures or features of a patient. The angle multiplexed optical coherence tomography system includes a light source, an optical assembly for obtaining a plurality of sample beams corresponding to respective anatomical locations of the eye of the patient, where individual sample beams are associated with a respective non-zero angle relative to a reference beam, and a detection mechanism that detects individual unique interference patterns respectively provided by the plurality of sample beams, for simultaneous evaluation of the anatomical locations.

摘要: An optical measurement instrument performs a series of wavefront measurements to obtain a plurality of sets of wavefront aberrometry data for an eye, and performs a series of corneal topography measurements to obtain a plurality of sets of corneal topography data for the eye. Each set of wavefront aberrometry data is obtained at a corresponding different point in time, and each set of corneal topography data is obtained at a corresponding different point in time. The wavefront aberrometry data and the corneal topography data are processed to produce combined tear film breakup data as a function of time. The combined tear film breakup data may be employed as a metric for evaluating a level of tear film breakup of the eye as a function of time.

摘要: A method of laser eye surgery including linking retinal vessel architecture to corneal topography. This enables registration of the steep axis of the cornea in order to orient a toric intraocular lens, and/or to place astigmatic keratotomy incisions. First, a detailed pre-operative retinal image of the vasculature of the retina is obtained. In addition, a pre-operative image of the topography of the eye is obtained. The retinal image is then correlated or superimposed on the topography image to provide a reference. After the patient lies down under the laser eye surgery system, and during the surgery, the retinal vasculature is monitored which provides a reference to the surgery system about the topography of the eye. This process enables registration of the steep axis of the cornea in order to orient a toric intraocular lens and/or to place astigmatic keratotomy incisions.
