摘要: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for aiding a surgeon to perform a surgical procedure on an eye. The surgical procedure includes inserting an elongate probe from an opening into the eye across an anterior chamber to a target tissue region comprising a trabecular meshwork and a Schlemm's canal. Exemplary systems include an optical microscope for the surgeon to view the eye with a microscope image during the procedure; an optical coherence tomography (OCT) apparatus configured to perform an OCT scan of a target location in the target tissue region during the procedure; and an image processing apparatus configured to generate an augmented image by overlaying an OCT image of target location and a graphical visual element identifying the locations, wherein the graphical visual element is registered with the microscope image to aid the surgeon in advancing a distal end of the elongate probe to the target location.

摘要: A method of imaging and treating ocular tissue of an eye having a cornea, an iris, an anterior chamber, an irido-corneal angle, and a direction of view includes establishing a common optical path through the cornea and the anterior chamber into the irido-corneal angle for each of an optical coherence tomography (OCT) beam and a laser beam, where the common optical path is offset from an optical axis within the direction of view. The method also includes obtaining a circumferential OCT image of the irido-corneal angle, obtaining an azimuthal OCT image of the irido-corneal angle, and determining a treatment pattern for a volume of ocular tissue of the irido-corneal angle based on the circumferential OCT image and the azimuthal OCT image. The method further includes delivering optical energy through the laser beam in accordance with the treatment pattern.

摘要: A system for ophthalmic surgery on an eye includes: a pulsed laser which produces a treatment beam; an OCT imaging assembly capable of creating a continuous depth profile of the eye; an optical scanning system configured to position a focal zone of the treatment beam to a targeted location in three dimensions in one or more floaters in the posterior pole. The system also includes one or more controllers programmed to automatically scan tissues of the patient's eye with the imaging assembly; identify one or more boundaries of the one or more floaters based at least in part on the image data; iii. identify one or more treatment regions based upon the boundaries; and operate the optical scanning system with the pulsed laser to produce a treatment beam directed in a pattern based on the one or more treatment regions.

摘要: Transcorneal and fiberoptic laser delivery systems and methods for the treatment of eye diseases wherein energy is delivered by wavelengths transparent to the cornea to effect target tissues in the eye for the control of intraocular pressure in diseases such as glaucoma by delivery systems both external to and within ocular tissues. External delivery may be affected under gonioscopic control. Internal delivery may be controlled endoscopically or fiberoptically, both systems utilizing femtosecond laser energy to excise ocular tissue. The femtosecond light energy is delivered to the target tissues to be treated to effect precisely controlled photodisruption to enable portals for the outflow of aqueous fluid in the case of glaucoma in a manner which minimizes target tissue healing responses, inflammation and scarring.

摘要: Systems and methods for improving vision of a subject implanted with an intraocular lens (IOL). In some embodiments, a method for vergence matching includes calculating vergence of a wave after refraction on a surface of an IOL and, based on an estimated curvature, converting an initial phase map into a vergence-matched phase map, such that the initial phase map follows the curved vergence of the wavefront.

摘要: The assembly for laser treatment of ocular opacities consists of: a measurement system for obtaining depth information regarding ocular structures; a laser system; an eye-tracker unit; a display unit; and a control-and-operating unit. According to the invention, the control-and-operating unit is designed to determine, from the depth profiles, the depth of ocular structures relative to the depth of the laser focus, and, in particular for the retina and the capsular bag, to determine a blocked zone for the laser treatment. Furthermore, the control-and-operating unit is designed to generate, at least for the blocked zones of the retina and capsular bag and the laser focus, at least one tag in each case, the characteristic of which corresponds to the particular depth in the eye, in order to display these tags on the display unit and to overlay them with the live image. The invention relates to a partially automated therapy apparatus for laser treatment of ocular opacities in which two-dimensional views of the eye are combined with three-dimensional imaging from the measurement system.
