摘要: A device is disclosed that combines a battery system with an electrochromic system by judicious selection of electrodes and the connection of the appropriate electrodes to generate internal as well as external current flows. This system allows the elimination of a battery component reducing cost and improving manufacturing yield by reduction of the number of parts and number of interconnections. However, the design can be further extended to the combination of a battery system with a sensing system.

摘要: In a wireless communication system comprising at least one wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) and a trusted entity, a method and apparatus for processing data during an event, includes storing data in a memory of the WTRU. The stored data is classified in the memory of the WTRU. The WTRU detects an event and transmits a notification signal to the trusted entity in response to the event detected. The trusted entity transmits a readiness signal to the WTRU. The WTRU transmits data classified for transfer to the trusted entity, and the trusted entity stores the data classified for transfer in a memory of the trusted entity.

摘要: A wireless mesh network with digital rights management (DRM) interoperability is disclosed. A first DRM-capable mesh point (MP) performs a discovery procedure for detecting neighbor MPs and identifies at least one other DRM-capable MP among the detected neighbor MPs. The first DRM-capable MP then performs an association procedure only with the DRM-capable MPs. The first DRM-capable MP assigns DRM roles to the associated DRM-capable MPs. A digital content is then distributed from the first DRM-capable MP to another DRM-capable MP via the mesh network. The DRM interoperability may be based on a networked environment for media orchestration (NEMO) architecture proposed by the Coral Consortium or any DRM interoperability architectures.

摘要: In a communications device operating with a blind signal separation (BSS) processor, an initial mixing matrix is formed based upon the different summations of the source signals received by the antenna array. The initial mixing matrix is evaluated to determine a minimum rank that is necessary for at least one source signal to be useable after having been separated from the initial mixing matrix and decoded. An additional mixing matrix is then formed, and also includes the different summations of the source signals. If the rank of the additional mixing matrix is less than the minimum rank associated with the initial mixing matrix, then the source signals are modified so that the rank of the additional mixing matrix is increased.

摘要: An automatic anti-focusing mechanism which generates and emits one or more distortion signals includes one or more sound or light generators which generate the distortion signals in various portions of their respective spectrums. The emitted distortion signals are received by an active automatic focusing camera and inhibit the ability of the active automatic focusing camera to properly detect a signal reflected off of a subject. Accordingly, the ability of the active automatic focusing camera to properly focus upon a subject is severely limited or disabled.
