Abstract: A video coding system including an acceleration device including input circuitry configured, for each of a first plurality of video frames to be encoded, to receive an input including at least one raw video frame and at least one reference frame, and to divide each of the first plurality of video frames to be encoded into a second plurality of blocks, and similarity computation circuitry configured, for each one of the first plurality of video frame to be encoded: for each the block of the second plurality of blocks, to produce an intra-prediction hint and an intra-prediction direction. Abstract: There are provided computerized systems and methods of optimized video encoding. The method includes encoding a current video frame by performing an optimized quantization of transform coefficients using a modified rate-distortion cost function. The modified rate-distortion cost function can be obtained by configuring a reconstruction error in a rate-distortion cost function in accordance with a relation associated with the encoding block and the processed encoding block. In such ways, a reconstructed video frame corresponding to the current video frame has optimized perceived visual quality as compared to perceived visual quality of a reconstructed video frame of a corresponding frame bitstream which is generated without using the optimized quantization.

In various aspects, the pre-processing can be performed in different ways. By way of example, this can be performed by aligning a plurality of consecutive frames in the sequence of video frames. By way of another example, this can be performed by conducting adaptive pre-filtering of the video information. By way of yet another example, this can be performed by filtering the video information in order to remove grain content thereof.

Abstract: There are provided a system and method of classification of an object represented by input data comprising a plurality of components. Abstract: There are provided computerized systems and methods for detection of objects in a one or more images or video frames, which require reduced power or computational cost compared to existing methods. The proposed approach uses a set of per frame detection anchors which are split into a primary sub-set and one or more secondary sub-sets. For each key frame a full detection process for each of the detection anchors in primary subset is performed, determining for each detection anchor whether it corresponds to a detected object, and updating a detected object data structure accordingly. For each non ‘key-frame’, a history based fast detection process for each of the detection anchors in the primary subset is performed, where it is first determined whether a criterion for temporal based early exit is met and whether the detection anchor corresponds to a detected object and updating the detected object data structure according to detection results. Then for each of the detection anchors in each of one or more secondary subsets, it is first determined whether a criterion for spatial early exit is met and whether the detection anchor corresponds to a detected object, and updating the data structure according to detection results.

Abstract: A video processor includes a memory and a processor. The processor is coupled to memory and is configured to store in the memory (i) multiple raw frames belonging to a Group of Pictures (GOP) to be processed, and (ii) one or more reference frames. The processor is further configured to select for multiple target blocks having a same block-location in respective raw frames associated with a common reference frame, a common search region in the common reference frame, and before selecting another search region, to apply at least two motion estimation operations using at least two of the target blocks and the common search region, to estimate respective at least two Motion Vectors (MVs).
