Abstract:
This invention describes a process for the production of second generation alcohols and/or solvents starting from cellulosic or lignocellulosic biomass wherein the lignocellulosic or cellulosic biomass undergoes a pretreatment before being converted into ethanol after an enzymatic hydrolysis and an ethylic fermentation, wherein glucidic polymers of the pretreated plant are hydrolyzed by cellulases; microorganisms that primarily use hexoses and preferably glucose and mannose are used for the ethylic fermentation; wines, with or without separation of materials in suspension are extracted by distillation; pentoses in the vinasses are fermented by a solventogenic microorganism into a butyl wine, and at least one portion of the butyl wine is recycled upstream from enzymatic hydrolysis.
Abstract:
In a method for manufacturing floor panels that have at least a substrate and a top layer provided on the substrate, the top layer including a thermoplastic layer that is translucent or transparent, the method may involve providing the top layer, including the thermoplastic layer, on the substrate. The method may also involve heating at least the thermoplastic layer, and structuring the thermoplastic layer using a mechanical press element.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a laminate panel with a substrate and a top layer includes the steps of printing a decor paper, composing a stack to be pressed from a substrate, and decor paper and one or more layers of synthetic material, and hot-pressing the stack. The paper to be printed or the printed paper, prior to the step of composing the stack, is provided with thermo-hardening or cross-linking resin wherein the resin is already at least partially hardened or cross-linked prior to the step of hot-pressing.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing panels of the type which is at least composed of a substrate and a top layer provided on the substrate, the top layer includes at least two material layers, amongst which a print, the method may involve applying the two material layers, such that the print is performed directly on the substrate and the print forms at least a portion of a printed decor. At least one of the two material layers may include a mixture having at least a thermally curing component and a radiation-curing component.
