Abstract:
A centralized scheduling server for scheduling fine-grained near real-time applications includes network ports, a central managing application, functional library(ies) and service processes. One port communicates with processing nodes over a private computer network. Processing nodes include processing node report processor node status to the server and execute scheduled tasks. The other port communicates with user devices through a public network. The central managing application manages fine-grained near real-time application. The functional library provides middleware core functionality. The service processes include: a resource manager, a submitter to place tasks on a task queue; and a dispatcher to dispatch tasks to processing nodes. A work flow process runs an optimized scheduling algorithm.
Abstract:
A care plan management system (10) includes storage (16) containing (i) care management-related content (14) and (ii) a patient care plan (21, 22, 23) including at least a schedule for presenting selected care management-related content. A user interface (31, 32, 33) is configured to receive and present care management-related content. At least one processor (26, 44) communicates with the storage and the user interface. The at least one processor is configured to communicate care management-related content to the user interface in accordance with the patient care plan and to automatically adjust the schedule of the patient care plan to free up a selected time period (54).
Abstract:
A purified nucleic acid segment encoding a functionally active hyaluronan receptor for endocytosis (HARE) or an active peptide fragment thereof, and methods for producing functionally active HARE or an active peptide fragment thereof therefrom, wherein the functionally active HARE or an active peptide fragment thereof is able to specifically bind HA, chondroitin and chondroitin sulfate.
Abstract:
A dual-mass flywheel including a primary mass that can be connected to the drive shaft of an internal combustion engine, and a secondary mass that can be connected to the input shaft of a transmission. The masses are positioned in an axial manner in relation to each other, and concentrically by means of at least one positioning device. The masses can be rotated at least in a defining manner counter to the effects of a damping device including energy accumulators. The energy accumulators are arranged in an annular, ring-like chamber that is formed by components of the primary mass and that also contains a viscous medium.
Abstract:
A coupling system including at least two sub-units, one of which is pre-assembled on the engine side of a motor vehicle drive train, namely on the output shaft of the engine, and the other sub-unit is pre-assembled on the transmission side of the drive train. The pre-assembled sub-units each include respective interengaging teeth to provide a positive drive connection, and the teeth are biased toward each other to reduce circumferential play and thereby reduce noise that would be generated during operation of the drive train.
Abstract:
A mouse with a plurality of buttons has a PS/2 driver as interface connected to a computer. A 4-bytes packet generated by the mouse is provided for the computer to analyze so as to update the display state of the mouse in the display and to perform specified function. This 4-bytes packet also has the 4th byte for controlling the movement of the mouse in vertical or horizontal scrolling direction and expanding the functions of the mouse. Therefore, it may not only greatly improve the convenience of control between the mouse and the computer, but also, comparing with the prior mouse, improve the expandability of many functions.

Abstract:
An electrical connector (100) mountable on a bottom side of a PCB (200) includes a dielectric housing (40), a plurality of terminals (50) retained in the housing, and a shielding case (130) covering the housing. The shielding case has a front section (20) with an upwardly protruding orientation key (210), a rear section (30) and a covering section (10). The covering section is formed from one piece of metal sheet and provides a pair of side walls (12), a transverse wall (11) interconnected therebetween, two metal feet (120) projecting upwardly from corresponding side walls for securing the connector to the PCB and a detent lock (110) formed in a middle of the transverse wall bending inwardly and rearwardly for providing a retention force against a mating complementary connector.
Abstract:
A feeding device includes a material pipe, a first container, a second container and a constant-length linkage mechanism. The material pipe is configured for feeding a first material. The first container is configured for receiving the first material and supplying a timed amount of the first material to a first material feed port. The second container is configured for storing a second material and supplying the second material to a second material feed port. The constant-length linkage mechanism is connected to the first container and the second container. When the first container is actually supplying the first material to the first material feed port, the constant-length linkage mechanism allows the second container to supply the second material to the second material feed port simultaneously.
Abstract:
In one exemplary embodiment a network node (such as a base station BS) determines that a plurality of user equipments UEs are available for use as mobile relays MRs, and selects a subset of the plurality of UEs and configures the subset of the plurality of UEs as MRs. In another exemplary embodiment, an indication is sent (for example from a UE) that a UE is willing to operate as a MR, a response is received that the UE is selected to be a MR1 and then periodically there is sent a beacon advertising that the UE is a MR. In this manner UEs are pre-configured in a cell as MRs, regardless of any specific UE need for relay services. Any UE later needing relay service listens for the beacon. The BS can limit which UEs it pre-configures as MRs to avoid closely spaced UEs being both active MRs. Locations need not be signaled.
