Abstract: A clutch device includes a clutch center and a pressure plate operable to move toward or away from the clutch center and rotatable relative to the clutch center. The pressure plate includes a pressure-side cam portion. The clutch center includes a center-side cam portion. The pressure plate includes a boss extending in movement directions. The clutch center includes a through hole in which a boss is insertable. The through hole extends along circumferential directions and allows movement of the boss along the circumferential directions and the movement directions. While a surface of the pressure-side cam portion and a surface of the center-side cam portion are in contact with each other, a distal end of the boss projects outward from the through hole.

Abstract: Pressure-side cam portions of a pressure plate each include a pressure-side assist cam portion including a pressure-side assist cam surface, a pressure-side body located between the pressure-side assist cam portion and a pressure-side slipper cam portion, and a first stepped portion between a main outer circumferential surface of the pressure-side body and a sub outer circumferential surface of the pressure-side assist cam portion. Abstract: A separating clutch for a powertrain includes a rotational axis, a friction pack for transmitting a torque in an engaged state, a damper device having a torsional vibration damper or a centrifugal pendulum, and an actuation device for selectively releasing the engaged state. The actuation device is arranged in an axial overlap with the damper device. The friction pack may include a friction disk, a pressure plate, a counter-plate, a pressure pot, and a disk spring supported between the counter-plate and the pressure pot. The friction disk may have a friction surface and the pressure pot may extend through the counter-plate to contact the pressure plate, radially outside of the friction surface, and the actuation device, radially inside of the friction surface. The actuation device may include a pressure chamber with a pressure piston, and the pressure piston may be axially movable and arranged radially within the friction pack.

Abstract: An indexing assembly for a snowmobile drive clutch assembly includes an adapter collar having a first portion which is hexagonal in cross section for mounting in the index socket of the drive clutch housing which normally receives a conventional indexing bolt therein. The adapter collar defines a first indexing surface which mates with a corresponding second indexing surface of the indexing head of an auxiliary bolt which replaces the conventional indexing bolt to define an eccentric cam surface which defines the ramp angle of a flyweight ramp member of the drive clutch that can be adjusted through a greater number of mating positions than the conventional indexing bolt. A difference in ramp angle between sequential mating positions of the auxiliary bolt can thus be made smaller than the difference in ramp angle between sequential mating positions of the conventional indexing bolt.

A piston assembly is configured to apply a force to the set of plates and friction members. The friction element assembly also includes a housing with a mounting groove; a pressure plate having first and second edges; and a snap ring positioned in the mounting groove. The snap ring is positioned such that first edge of the pressure plate contacts the snap ring and the second edge of the pressure plate extends across a portion of the snap ring. The snap ring is L-shaped and includes a leg portion that contacts the second edge of the pressure plate when the piston assembly applies a force to the set of plates and friction members.
