Abstract:
A health watch is disclosed which has various functions such as atmospheric air thermometer, body thermometer, cardiac beat meter, displaying of beating sound waves, display of cardiac beating sounds, blood pressure meter and the like. An IC counting element is provided for each of the functions, and a plurality of display windows are provided to display the respective measured data. For this purpose, sensors are installed on the watch in contact with the wrist. Thus the various functions are combined in one wrist watch, so that a convenience would be ensured by eliminating the troubles of carrying and storing the various conventional separate health checking devices. Therefore, one's own health state can be checked at any place, thereby making it possible to prevent assault of any disease.
Abstract:
A portable viewable and audible stethoscope for visually and audibly monitoring the vital life signs (e.g. heart beat, lung respiration, artery pulse, intestinal sounds) of a patient. The stethoscope includes a large diameter sound absorbing cup and a small diameter sound absorbing connected to opposite ends of a tubular connector and an output device enclosed within a hand held case that is connected to a middle region of the tubular connector by a supporting tube. The tubular connector is provided with an internally installed microphone which converts the absorbed sounds to electrical signals. The output device includes an electronic circuit assembly for amplifying the signals from the microphone, an oscilloscope for displaying the signals, and a speaker for converting the signals into audible sounds. The outside of the case of the output device is provided with control switches for the oscilloscope display, speaker volume adjustment and power on/off. The case further includes a small replaceable battery to supply power to the electronic circuits. The stethoscope is simple in its structure, and can be conveniently carried. The stethoscope can be used by both professional and ordinary people and it allows the condition of a patient to be monitored visually and audibly by many surrounding people.
Abstract:
The present invention is related to a composition comprising a serine as an active ingredient for treating or preventing fatty liver diseases. The inventive compound significantly inhibits the SREBP-1 transcription activity involved in lipid synthesis and reduced the fatty liver formation through various in vitro test and in vivo test therefore it can be useful in the prevention and treatment of the fatty liver diseases as a medicament or health functional food.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a ring-type cuff for blood pressure manometer, wherein the cuff (C) comprises: a circular rubber ring (1) wearable on a wrist or an ankle; a resilient coil spring (2) built-in inside the tubular rubber ring (1) in the range of length of the rubber ring to obtain a predetermined flexibility, to suppress excessive stretching, to strengthen durability, and to maintain resilience; and a measurement portion (3) comprising a pressure sensor (S) for measuring blood pressure, a transmission circuit (IC) for transmitting measurement data to the outside, a power source (v), a power switch (sw), and a pilot lamp (LED).The ring-type cuff (C) is worn on the wrist or the ankle at ordinary times; when measuring blood pressure, the ring-type cuff (C) is placed on a measurement site to be fixed by a self-elastic supporting force, blood pressure is measured by the pressure sensor (S) of the measurement portion (3) and the pilot lamp (LED) is simultaneously lighted, the measured data is wired and wirelessly transferred to an external sphygmomanometer by the transmission circuit (IC) to be analyzed, and the analyzed result is displayed on a display portion through a letter or a figure; and the pilot lamp is also turned off if the ring-type cuff (C) descends to the wrist after measurement.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a telemedical stethoscope, which automatically diagnoses a disease, and records visually and auditorily, and stores the stethoscope data on a screen. The present invention enhances primary diagnosis and treatment effect for a patient by transmitting/receiving the data to/from a doctor at a medical center and by receiving a telemedicine service. In addition, the present invention transmits the data to a health management program so as to be used for personal healthcare and disease prognosis decision of a patient.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a mobile phone with a stethoscopic function. The mobile phone with a stethoscopic function, of which the mobile phone has communication data processing functions, comprises a stethoscopic microphone which is arranged in a body of the mobile phone; and a stethoscopic system which is embedded in the body of the mobile phone. The auscultated sound data obtained from the medical examination made on the part of a human body where the stethoscopic microphone is contacted are converted into digital auscultated sound data. The digital auscultated sound data identifies corresponding sound data in the pre-stored standardized digital auscultating sound data through search and comparison within allowable errors of data. With the identified data, a diagnostic data is made available. The diagnostic data may be stored and transmitted to a physician using the communication function of the mobile phone.
Abstract:
The present disclosure discloses a smartphone based telemedical devices incorporating into smartphone medical devices such as stethoscopes, thermometers, ultrasound imaging devices and/or alarm generators for diagnosis or determination of the disease or health status or condition of a user. The present smartphone based telemedical devices can be advantageously and conveniently used to measure and generate and/or remotely transmitting the medical data or information generated by the incorporated medical devices thus allowing an accurate and rapid determination of the status of a user particularly under emergency particularly when there are no regular medical or hospital services are available.
Abstract:
Proteinopathies result from the proteasome not acting efficiently enough to eliminate harmful proteins and prevent the formation of the pathogenic aggregates. As described herein, inhibition of proteasome-associated deubiquitinase Usp14 results in increased proteasome efficiency. The present invention therefore provides novel compositions and methods for inhibition of Usp14, enhancement of proteasome activity and treatment of proteinopathies.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a blood manometer displaying the examined person's heart condition, showing the name of a cardiac disease identified, comprising a cuff pressure control portion for adjusting the air pressure of a cuff; a blood pressure measuring portion having a pressure sensor for measuring blood pressure; a pulse measuring portion having a pulse wave sensor for measuring pulse waves; and a central process-and-control portion which processes by computing the data inputted by the blood pressure measuring portion and the pulse measuring portion, and displays in words the results of the blood pressure that has been measured, such as normal blood pressure, hypertension or hypotension, as well as the result of the pulse that has been measured, such as normal pulse, arrhythmia, tachycardia or bradycardia. The central process-and-control portion is also capable of storing and transmitting the data.As the blood manometer not only measures blood pressure but displays specific information on the examined person's heart condition, it is helpful for ordinary people to manage their health at home and at work place. If the user sees an abnormal condition displayed, he or she may transmit the data swiftly to a remote-placed specialist for precise diagnosis by telemedicine. This will assist greatly in the prevention and treatment of a heart disease.
