Abstract: A portable ultrasound imaging assembly includes a cart or support stand on which is mounted a portable ultrasound imaging system and a handle that can be grasped by a user to move the cart and imaging assembly into the desired position. The support stand further includes a storage bin removably mounted in a readily accessible location directly below the handle. The storage bin is formed to hold a number of large containers, such as cylindrical sanitizing wipe canisters, and has a profile similar to that of the handle. The profile of the storage bin includes a rear facing recess within which the support stand is disposed when the storage bin is secured to the support stand in either a forward or rearward facing direction. The attachment structure(s) for the storage bin is located within the recess to minimizing the profile of the storage bin on the support stand.

Abstract: Disclosed are wearable ultrasound probes for use in trauma triage and assessment. The probes include a housing having a dorsal side and a palmar side, a proximal end and a distal end, and a longitudinal axis extending therebetween. The proximal end comprises a finger-receiving aperture that is configured to form a sleeve including a tubular wall member formed from an elastomeric material and defining an inner lumen. A portion of the tubular wall member is configured to extend or project into the inner lumen to form a deformable gripping member for gripping a finger. The probes also include at least one ultrasound array disposed at the distal end or adjacent to the distal end.

Abstract: A portable ultrasound device (109) for non-invasively imaging a selected sub-cutaneous structure, comprising: (a) a housing (110); and (b) a plurality of arrays (300A) of transducer elements (300). Each array (300A) is arranged in parallel and each transducer element (300) comprises a transmitter transducer (705) and a receiver transducer (707), located within the housing (110) for continuously transmitting ultrasound energy in a predetermined frequency range toward a body (100) of a subject and continuously receiving echo signals in a predetermined frequency range from the subjects body (100). The plurality of parallel arrays (300A) enables imaging of the sub-cutaneous structure (101, 101A) in multiple transverse and lateral planes. The ultrasound device (109) further includes (c) a controller (250) for operating the plurality of arrays (300A) of transducer elements (300) and communicable with a processor (350) for processing received echo signals from the plurality of arrays (300A) of transducer elements (300); and (d) a screen (104) for displaying an interpretable image (104A, 104B) of said sub-cutaneous structure (101, 101A) produced by the processor (350).

Abstract: A removable cable connector engages with an electronic device such that the removable cable connector removably yet securely attaches to the electronic device. In some embodiments, the electronic device includes a plate configured to guide an electronic plug of the removable cable connector toward an electronic receptacle of the electronic device. The plate may be further configured to include one or more locators for holding the electronic receptacle of the electronic device in place. The removable cable connector may include a molded housing formed using a two-shot overmolding process to form a first overmolded strain relief portion and a second overmolded strain relief portion which cover fasteners that fasten a face plate to the connector.
