Abstract:
A centrifugal switch device for an induction motor includes a microswitch mounted on the casing of the induction motor, a protective cover mounted on the microswitch for encompassing and contacting the push button of the microswitch, a sliding member secured to the casing and slidably mounted on the shaft, an extension extending outward from the sliding member and having a pressing piece releasably pressing the protective cover for urging the protective cover to press the push button of the microswitch, a fan secured on the shaft to rotate therewith, a pressing disk secured in the fan to rotate therewith and slidably mounted on the shaft for detachably urging the sliding member, two urging members each pivotally mounted on the fan and each attached to the pressing disk for moving the pressing disk on the shaft relative to the sliding member, and two biasing members each mounted on the two urging members for pivoting the two urging members.
Abstract:
A mobile copy machine extension unit including a casing having a paper tray for holding blank sheets of paper, a front cover and a back cover mounted on the casing and spaced by a loading space for letting a mobile copy machine to be loaded between the front and back cover, a reversible motor, sheet-transfer rollers turned by the reversible motor through a set of gears to carry individual blank sheets of paper into the mobile copy machine through a paper inlet on the front cover, an idle wheel turned by the reversible motor through a belt transmission to carry copied sheets of paper out of the mobile copy machine to a paper deck on the casing through a paper outlet on the back cover.
Abstract:
Method for preparing peptides free of undesired amino acids or amino acid sequences employing site specific receptors and proteases to cleave unprotected enzymatically hydrolyzable bonds.
Abstract:
Methods and compositions are provided for producing heterologous proteins in a micrcorganism host, particularly bacterium, without fusion to an endogenous protein. Particularly, the heterologous gene may be inserted into a vector comprising an endogenous gene, where the heterologous gene is preceded by a ribosomal binding site. A heterologous enzyme functional in a bacterial host is demonstrated.
Abstract:
Method for preparing high signal strength promoters and terminators and DNA compositions employing such promoters and terminators. T5 phage is cleaved to provide for DNA sequences having intact promoters. These promoters are inserted into vectors separated from a balanced terminator by a gene of interest and the terminator is desirably followed by a marker allowing for selection of transformants. High efficiencies in transcription of DNA can be achieved with the highly active T5 promoters. The promoters and terminators are used in hybrid DNA for efficient expression of structural genes and transcription to provide RNA sequences.
Abstract:
An improved base structure of a circular saw includes a base, a rotatable base plate mounted on the base, a mounting seat, and a rotary seat. The base plate has an upper face provided with a recess at a rear end. The mounting seat is screwably secured on both sides of the recess, and has a pivot portion with a screw hole at a bottom end. The pivot portion is located in the recess. The rotary seat can rotate relative to the mounting seat and is provided with a curved slide groove for receiving an adjusting screw. The rotary seat has a pivot portion at a bottom end that corresponds to the pivot portion of the mounting seat. The pivot portion of the rotary seat has a shaft hole that corresponds to the screw hole of the pivot portion of the mounting seat, whereby they are coaxially joined by a pivot that connects the pivot portions integrally to the recess of the base plate, so that the rotary seat can rotate utilizing the pivot as center of rotation and allow adjustment of inclination relative to the upper face of the base plate.
Abstract:
A U-turn high capacity sheet feeder including: a sheet storing tray for holding a stack of sheets of paper, having a stack advancing spring for advancing a stack of sheets of paper; a transfer roll; a feed roll and a drive mechanism controlled to separate an individual sheet of paper from the sheet storing tray to the transfer roll for allowing it to be further driven by the transfer roll to a host machine; a U-turn baffle channel for guiding an individual sheet of paper moving away from the sheet storing tray to the transfer roll; a pivotable baffle channel for guiding an individual sheet of paper from the U-turn baffle channel to the host machine and for supporting the individual sheet of paper against the feed roll of the host machine; a control mechanism for determining the timings of the engagement of the feed roll and the drive mechanism for transporting individual sheets of paper one by one into the feed zone of the host machine in conjunction with feeding cycle of the host machine; and a housing, which holds the aforesaid parts of the sheet feeder.
