Abstract:
A method and system enabling roaming between different wireless networks. A mobile device supporting low and high-tier wireless network standards is adapted to roam between a low-tier wireless network and a high-tier wireless network with lower bandwidth but more mobility than the low-tier wireless network. Via a virtual GPRS support node, a plurality of data packets and control signals are delivered between low and high-tier wireless networks.
Abstract:
An automatic adjusting device for adjusting the position of the center of gravity of an object comprises a weighting element, an elastic element, a base seat, and a hollow tube body. One end of the weighting element is connected to the elastic element and another end of the elastic element is connected to the base seat, such that the weighting element, the elastic element and the base seat are positioned within the hollow tube body. Initially, the C.G. of the device is located at the handle region of the device, and when the tube body is rapidly swung, the weighting element produces a centrifugal force that is greater than the force of the elastic element to move the weighting element to the front end of the tube body and move the C.G. simultaneously. When the swinging force of the tube body is released, the pulling force of the elastic element will cause the weighting element to be restored to its original position, and the C.G. will be simultaneously restored to its original position as well.
Abstract:
A screen film structure provided with a positioning function includes a transparent screen film, a first release film, and a second release film. The screen film has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The first release film includes a first main portion and a first aligning portion connected to the first main portion. The first main portion is detachably adhered to the first surface of the screen film, and a peripheral edge of the first main portion is substantially aligned with that of the screen film. The first aligning portion protrudes out of the screen film and includes a plurality of first positioning holes. The second release film is detachably adhered to the second surface of the screen film.
Abstract:
Embodiments include a test circuit to test one or more magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) of a magnetic random access memory (MRAM). The test circuit may measure a 1/f noise of the MTJ in the time domain, and determine a power spectral density (PSD) of the 1/f noise. The test circuit may estimate one or more parameters of the MTJ and/or MRAM based on the PSD. For example, the test circuit may determine a noise parameter, such as a Hooge alpha parameter, based on the PSD, and may estimate the one or more parameters of the MTJ and/or MRAM based on the 1/f parameter. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
Abstract:
A complex control device includes a wireless selfie shutter and a flasher detachably installed in the wireless selfie shutter. The wireless selfie shutter has a first shell, a starting key and two transmitting modules arranged in the first shell, and the transmitting modules are electrically connected to the starting key. The flasher has a second shell detachably installed on the first shell, an LED flash and a control module arranged in the second shell. The control module is electrically connected to the LED flash. When the flasher is separated from the wireless selfie shutter, the second shell is used for inserting into a connector jack of a mobile communication device, thereby respectively transmitting two starting signals of the transmitting modules to the mobile communication device and the control module of the flasher when the starting key is pressed. Additionally, the instant disclosure provides a selfie apparatus.
Abstract:
An auxiliary input device for virtual keyboard sized on a displayed virtual keyboard of a capacitive touch panel, comprising: a membrane and a plurality of conducting keys. The membrane has a plurality of bulged supporting members arranged in correspondence to the plurality of virtual keys of the virtual keyboard, wherein a trough is arranged facing the virtual keyboard between every two adjacent supporting members. The conducting keys are arranged atop each of the supporting member, and kept at a predetermined distance from the capacitive touch panel, the conducting keys selectively operable to establish contact with the capacitive touch panel. The auxiliary input device for virtual keyboard is a thin structure which provides tactile feedback and pressure-sensitivity just like a physical keyboard, and is advantageous in its low cost construction, easy portability and the lack of additional power consumption.
Abstract:
The invention provides a system and method for controlling multimedia communication quality in a handheld device. The handheld device receives and transmits multimedia data via a wireless network. First, the predetermined video coding parameters are used to code a video stream and transmit the coded video stream via the wireless network, and receive a multimedia data via the wireless network. Next, the quality of the wireless network is detected. When the quality is poor, the video coding parameters are changed. Finally, the quality of received multimedia data is detected. When the quality of received multimedia data is poor, the video coding parameters are changed.
