Abstract:
A bullnose corner bead shear for making internal angle corner cuts to bullnose corner bead. The device includes a first cutting head having a first cutting member and a second cutting member, the first cutting member further comprising a cutting blade having a linear cutting edge portion and a curvilinear cutting edge portion, the second cutting member further comprising a cutting blade having a linear cutting edge portion and a curvilinear cutting edge portion, the first and second cutting member cutting blade curvilinear edge portions being contoured in such manner that they extend in a first direction distal of a line of the corresponding linear cutting edge portion and a second direction perpendicular to a plane of the corresponding cutting member, a handle assembly having a first handle and a second handle, the first handle being attachable to a first cutting member leg and the second handle being attachable to a second cutting member leg, and a pivot pin for pivotally attaching the first cutting member and the second cutting member such that when the first handle and the second handle are biased toward each other the first cutting member cutting blade cuttably engages the second cutting member cutting blade.
Abstract:
A cardiac pacer system includes a pulse generator for generating a stimulating signal coupled through an output coupling capacitor to a single heart-engaging electrode. An amplifier is coupled to the electrode for sensing an R wave. Immediately upon initiation of the stimulating pulse, a discharging resistor for the coupling capacitor is disconnected, and the signal input to the amplifier is uncoupled from the electrode. The amplifier is restrained and its gain is reduced. When the stimulating pulse terminates, the input terminal of the output coupling capacitor is clamped through resistance to ground and discharged rapidly. The current discharging the output coupling capacitor assists in discharging the electrode capacitance. During amplifier restraint, the amplifier input coupling capacitor is allowed to charge to a voltage sufficient to compensate for the voltage offset on the system output coupling capacitor and the electrode capacitance. The output coupling capacitor's discharging current is interrupted when the rate of change of voltage at the output coupling capacitor and electrode will, in a short length of time, reach a value nearly equal to zero; and the voltage offset is compensated. After sensing, the discharging resistor is reconnected, and the gain of the amplifier is returned to its original value.
Abstract:
An inductive power system including an inductive power transmitter coupled to a non-conductive medium, and a power cord that electrically couples the transmitter to an AC power source. The inductive power transmitter is configured to emit an electromagnetic field based on the received AC power. There is an inductive power receiver coupled to the non-conductive medium and separated from the transmitter, wherein the receiver is configured to receive the electromagnetic field after it has passed through the non-conductive medium and in response develop power. A power cord electrically couples the developed power to a power sink.
Abstract:
An apparatus for support and display of a sports memorabilia jersey features a body form having an upper body portion with an outline visually resembling a head, neck and shoulders of a human body, and a transparent facial area comprising a facial likeness or team logo of a particular athlete associated with said sports memorabilia jersey. A method of producing such apparatus includes obtaining a facial image of an athlete associated with said memorabilia jersey, obtaining an outline shape of said facial image at a generally life-size scale, producing the body form with the head, neck and shoulder areas, and applying the facial image onto the head area of the body form such that a perimeter shape of the head area of the body form generally conforms to the outline shape of the facial image.

Abstract:
A computerized software system helps badminton players improve their footwork and conditioning. The system reads information from stored training modules in a portable computing device. In one mode, the system displays an indicator arrow to one of six corners on a badminton court image. A player moves on a real badminton court or other suitable surface in the direction indicated by the arrow displayed on the badminton court image. The arrow represents a fake and is displayed randomly or in sequence to all six corners. The speed the arrow flashes from corner to corner is adjustable. In another mode, the system randomly displays an indicator symbol on an opposing badminton court image to indicate an area of the court a player is to return a fed bird. A user may select a training module having either timed training sets or count training sets.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to isolated nucleic acid molecules and polypeptides of thraustochytrid polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) synthases involved in the production of PUFAs, including PUFAs enriched in docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), or a combination thereof. The present invention is directed to vectors and host cells comprising the nucleic acid molecules, polypeptides encoded by the nucleic acid molecules, compositions comprising the nucleic acid molecules or polypeptides, and methods of making and uses thereof.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to compounds of formula (I), and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts, solvates, hydrates, geometrical isomers, tautomers, optical isomers or N-oxides, which are inhibitors of SSAO activity. The invention further relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising these compounds and to the use of these compounds for the treatment of medical conditions wherein inhibition of SSAO activity is beneficial, such as such as inflammatory diseases and immune disorders.
