Furthermore, the present invention relates to a group of new enzymes which possess desaturase or elongase activity that can be used in methods of synthesizing long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids. In particular, the present invention provides ω3 destaurases, Δ5 elongases and Δ6 desaturases with novel activities. Also provided are methods and DNA constructs for transiently and/or stably transforming cells, particularly plant cells, with multiple genes.

摘要: The present invention relates generally to the field of recombinant fatty acid synthesis, particularly in transgenic plants. The application describes genes involved in fatty acid synthesis and provides methods and vectors for the manipulation of fatty acid composition of plant oils. In particular, the invention provides constructs for achieving the integration of multiple heterologous genes involved in fatty acid synthesis into the plant genome, such that the resulting plants produce altered levels of polyunsaturated fatty acids. Also described are methods for enhancing the expression of fatty acid biosynthesis enzymes by co-expressing a silencing suppressor within the plant storage organ.

摘要: Recombinant DNA techniques are used to produce oleaginous recombinant cells that produce triglyceride oils having desired fatty acid profiles and regiospecific or stereospecific profiles. Genes manipulated include those encoding stearoyl-ACP desturase, delta 12 fatty acid desaturase, acyl-ACP thioesterase, ketoacyl-ACP synthase, and lysophosphatidic acid acyltransferase. The oil produced can have enhanced oxidative or thermal stability, or can be useful as a frying oil, shortening, roll-in shortening, tempering fat, cocoa butter replacement, as a lubricant, or as a feedstock for various chemical processes. The fatty acid profile can be enriched in midchain profiles or the oil can be enriched in triglycerides of the saturated-unsaturated-saturated type.

摘要: A method for producing a composition containing a DHA-containing glyceride, including a step of obtaining a composition containing a DHA-containing glyceride, in which an esterification reaction is conducted by reacting a lipase with a raw material oil and fat containing highly unsaturated fatty acid as a constituent fatty acid in the presence of water and a lower alcohol to give a composition containing a DHA-containing glyceride, wherein a reaction liquid in the reaction has a water content of 0.4% by mass or more, and wherein the composition containing a DHA-containing glyceride has an acid value of 12 or less.

摘要: Provided are an oleaginous microorganism disruption process using a supersonic disperser and a method for producing bio-oil using the same. The method for producing bio-oil according to the present invention induces a cell disruption of oleaginous microorganisms without a separate drying process, thereby providing a method for continuously producing bio-oil in an economical and simple manner. In addition, the method of the present invention induces a cell disruption of oleaginous microorganisms without a heating process, thereby producing bio-oil without a change in physical properties due to the heat.
