Abstract:
A method of authentication is provided that includes capturing biometric data for a desired biometric type from an individual, determining an algorithm for converting the biometric data into authentication words, converting the captured biometric data into authentication words in accordance with the determined algorithm, including the authentication words in a probe, and comparing the probe against identity records stored in a server system. Each of the identity records includes enrollment biometric words of an individual obtained during enrollment. Moreover, the method includes identifying at least one of the identity records as a potential matching identity record when at least one of the authentication words included in the probe matches at least one of the enrollment biometric words included in the at least one identity record, and generating a list of potential matching identity records.
Abstract:
Comparing very large XML data. In one embodiment, a first and second XML data received for comparison are stored in the form of respective multiple rows in a database. A first and second set of rows (respectively corresponding to the first and second XML data) having the same value corresponding to a key are retrieved from the database and examined to form a comparison result. The same operations may be performed for each value of the key (and also other keys) present in either of the XML data sets.
Abstract:
The present invention provides selective migration in a storage network in accordance with a policy. The policy can include rules that establish which objects are migrated from a source file server to a destination file server based on file attributes (e.g., file type, file size, last access time, frequency of access). For example, large multimedia files that consume I/O bandwidth on expensive or critical file servers, without adding much value to enterprise productivity, can be migrated to a commodity or less critical file server.
Abstract:
Goal state indicators can be communicated from a fabric controller of a computer cluster to each of multiple compute instances in the computer cluster managed by the fabric controller. The goal state indicators can be formatted according to a structured protocol that defines multiple possible goal states. Additionally, status reports can be received from the compute instances. Each of the status reports can indicate a current state of one of the compute instances relative to a goal state previously indicated in a goal state indicator communicated to that one of the compute instances.
Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to a process for preparing polymeric-based nanoparticle of RPD coated with Tf and RVG comprises dissolving 1-12 wt % of RPD and 8-96 wt % of lipid in isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and heating the solution to 70° C. to create the organic phase; adding prepared organic solution to the 0-2 wt % of aqueous surfactant solution using a syringe at 70° C. temperature; swirling the obtained solution at 1000 rpm on a high speed homogenizer for 15 minutes after the solvent is evaporated using a magnetic stirrer to create the SLNs dispersion; and adding 45-100 wt % of Ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)carbodiimide (EDC) and 45-100 wt % of N-Hydroxysulfosuccinimide (NHS), which included activating the carboxylic acid terminal groups and conjugating Tf and RVG to RPD's PLGA nanoparticles.
Abstract:
A configurable delay cell for an integrated circuit includes a CMOS inverter and first through fourth transistors. A drain of the third transistor is connected to a drain of the fourth transistor for generating an output signal. A connection between an output terminal of the CMOS inverter and a source of the first transistor, a connection between the output terminal of the CMOS inverter and a drain of the second transistor, and a connection between the source of the first transistor and the drain of the second transistor are configurable, using an electronic design automation (EDA) tool, for achieving first, second, third, fourth, and fifth delay values. The resulting delay value can be programmed by making changes only in one or more of the metal layers of the integrated circuit.
Abstract:
A two-input multiplexer includes first, second, and third CMOS inverters, a transmission gate, and a tri-state inverter. The first CMOS inverter receives a select signal and outputs an inverted select signal. The second CMOS inverter receives a first input signal and outputs an inverted first input signal. The transmission gate receives the select signal, the inverted first input signal, and the inverted select signal, and outputs the inverted first input signal. The tri-state inverter receives the second input signal, the inverted select signal, and the select signal, and generates an inverted second input signal. The third CMOS inverter receives one of the inverted first and second input signals, and outputs one of the first and second input signals, respectively.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for facilitating coordination between a fabric controller of a cloud-computing network and a service application running in the cloud-computing network are provided. Initially, an update domain (UD) that includes role instance(s) of the service application is selected, where the service application represents a stateful application is targeted for receiving a tenant job executed thereon. The process of coordination involves preparing the UD for execution of the tenant job, disabling the role instance(s) of the UD to an offline condition, allowing the tenant job to execute, and restoring the role instance(s) to an online condition upon completing execution of the tenant job. Preparing the UD includes notifying a management role established within the service application of the fabric controller's intent to execute the tenant job and receiving a management-role response communicating a presence of replications of internal state(s) of the role instance(s) affected by the tenant job.
Abstract:
A system and method for parallel file system traversal using multiple job executors is disclosed. The system includes a pool of job executors, a job queue, and a trigger tracker. An object, representative of a node in the filesystem, is added (i.e., pushed) to the job queue for processing by an job executor. The job queue assigns (i.e., pops) objects to job executors in accordance to a LIFO (Last In First Out) ordering. Then the job executor performs an action such as copy. In one embodiment, the trigger tracker follows the processing of a child nodes to a particular child node. Thus, the filesystem is being traversed by several job executors at the same time.
Abstract:
A single supply level shifter circuit for shifting the voltage level of an input voltage includes a voltage translation stage and a driver stage. The voltage translation stage receives the input voltage and a voltage supply and generates a first voltage. When a magnitude of the input voltage is LOW, the first voltage is LOW. The first voltage is provided to the driver stage, which inverts the first voltage to generate an output voltage that is at a voltage supply (Vdd) level, thereby level shifting the input voltage.
