Abstract: An interface system is provided between a source component (210) and a destination component (220) having multiple parallel lines for transmitting data or parity bits (231-234, 251-253) and one or more spare lines (241-243). An error detection means (222) identifies one or more faulty lines. A mapping means (228) re-routes data or parity from a faulty line to a spare line. A communication link (208) is provided for communicating the re-routing between the source component (210) and the destination component (220). The error detection and mapping can be repeated to detect and re-route sequential multiple-bit line errors using additional spare lines (241-243).

Abstract: A steerable carriage apparatus for manually transporting a payload across a surface, the apparatus including a frame having a first end portion and a second end portion, further included is a plurality of arms each having a pivotal attachment to the first end portion. Wherein each pivotal attachment having a pivotal axis that is at an obtuse angle in relation to the surface, further each pivotal attachment is operational to allow a pivotal movement about each pivotal axis of each arm in relation to the first end portion. Also included in the apparatus is a plurality of first rotating elements that are each rotationally attached to each of the arms, each of the plurality of first rotating elements forming a contact on the surface, wherein each obtuse angle is adjacent to each contact on the surface, also each of the first rotating elements is operational to be steerable.

Abstract: A system and method for managing grants received from one or more sponsors is proposed. The grants management system receives a transaction request and retrieves data associated with the transaction request from a data cube. The grants management system then determines, from the perspective of the sponsors, if the transaction request satisfies administrative and financial requirements imposed by the sponsors. If the administrative and financial requirements are satisfied, the transaction request is admitted.

Abstract: A polymeric particle including a core, a first shell, and a second shell is provided: the core including, when dry, at least one void; the first shell polymer having a calculated glass transition temperature (“Tg”) greater than 50° C. and including, as polymerized units, from 15% to 60%, by weight based on the weight of the first shell, monomer selected from the group consisting of acrylonitrile, methacrylonitrile, acrylamide, methacrylamide, and mixtures thereof; and from 0.3% to 10%, by weight based on the weight of the first shell polymer, multiethylenically unsaturated monomer; and the second shell polymer having a Tg of from −60° C. to 50° C.; wherein the weight ratio of the second shell polymer to the total of all other structures of the polymeric particle is from 0.5:1 to 3:1. The particle provides binding functionality and, when dry, opacity and energy savings. A method for providing a polymeric particle and a method for providing opacity to a dry coating are also provided.
