Abstract:
A power amplifier includes a plurality of amplification paths in which at least one amplification path is selectively enables and disabled, wherein each amplification path includes an output impedance modification element and a phase shift element that is operable independently from the output impedance modification element, and wherein the output impedance modification element in each amplification path provides selective impedance for each amplification path.
Abstract:
A system for controlling a plant process wherein the plant is over-actuated with N+1 actuators and provides N performance variables is disclosed. The system includes an outer-loop controller operable to compare N performance variable values from the plant with a reference set point and provide a desired virtual control input to an inner-loop controller. The inner-loop controller receives the desired virtual control input from the outer-loop controller and provides real control inputs to the at least N+1 actuators. The N+1 actuators receive the real control inputs and subsequently provide an actual virtual control input to the plant. Upon receiving the actual virtual control input from the N+1 actuators the plant is operable to produce N updated performance variable values in an optimized manner.

Abstract:
A slew rate control circuit in output driver of switching circuit to prevent power ground undershoot is introduced. The gate capacitance of lower power transistor is first fast discharged to ensure the operation of the output signal. The gate capacitance of lower power transistor is then slowly discharged to limit OUT SLEW RATE. The gate capacitance of lower power transistor is further slowly discharged when the power ground level is below common ground. With above controlling, the gate voltage slew rate of lower power transistor is reduced when the lower power transistor is almost fully turned OFF. Therefore, undershoot at the power ground is avoided. Similar slew rate control circuit can also be derived in output driver of switching circuit to prevent PVCC overshoot.
Abstract:
The method and apparatus as described are directed toward techniques and mechanisms to improve efficient wireless network implementation, including obtaining one specification including a center frequency definition, determining, based on the specification, a center frequency of at least one carrier used to operate on the wireless communication system, determining an amount of dithering to add to the center frequency, and setting the center frequency to be multiples of sub-carrier spacing by adding the dithering.
Abstract:
A smart overcurrent protection circuit is introduced. In case of successive current due to certain malfunctions flows in power transistor of a switching circuit a control signal is activated to stop power transistor switching. When overcurrent condition is no longer satisfied, the switching circuit is still able to return to normal operation.

Abstract:
Within both a method for operating an internal combustion engine and a system for operating the internal combustion engine there is provided an engine rotation speed pulsation damping within the internal combustion engine through use of a PID controller which varies a single PID control parameter, particularly, KD to provide the engine rotation speed pulsation damping within the internal combustion engine. Within both the method and the system there is also provided a pair of control algorithms for use within the PID controller such as to effect the desired engine rotation speed pulsation damping when operating the internal combustion engine.
Abstract:
An arrangement of a four cycle internal combustion engine 7 is provided. In the preferred embodiment the engine 7 has a plurality of combustion chambers 18 having reciprocating pistons 22 mounted therein. A fuel injector 80 is provided for each combustion chamber. The fuel injector injects a stratified 80 charge into the combustion chamber 18 upon a compression stroke of the piston 22. An intake manifold 32 is provided to provide air to each combustion chamber. A charging device 38 is provided to pressurize the air within the intake manifold 32. Preferably the charging device is a variable geometry turbocharger 38. The pressurizing of the air within the intake manifold 32 allows the engine 7 to extend the stratified charge operation of the engine 7 and facilitates in increased gas mileage by allowing the engine 7 to stay in a stratified mode of operation longer than prior stratified charged internal combustion engines.
