摘要： A portable auxiliary power source includes a clamshell-type housing including a top section or cover and a bottom section hingedly connected together. The housing provides a watertight chamber which fully encloses all internal components. Disposed within the housing are a battery, a pair of charging cables, and a pair of charging clamps. Also disposed within the housing is a control panel which includes a work light, battery charge status indicators, a charge status button, battery monitoring circuitry, an on/off switch. Further the control panel may include a 12 volt charging port, an AC charging port, and a 12 volt DC socket. The control panel provides a storage tray for storage of the charging cables and charging clamps.

摘要： A virtual reality system has a database for defining one or more three-dimensional virtual spaces. A communication unit establishes a communication between the database and a user, and a data communication unit communicates data from the database to the user so that the user's computer may display a portion of a selected virtual space on the user's head mounted display. The communications unit also receives data corresponding to the position, orientation, and/or movement of the user relative to a reference point and uses the data to define a virtual being within the virtual space, wherein the position, orientation, and/or movements of the virtual being are correlated to the received data. Preferably, the data communicated to the user typically corresponds to the portion of the virtual space viewed from the perspective of the virtual being. To reduce the amount of data communicated between the computer and each user, visual and sound priority spaces may be defined within the portion of the virtual space data communicated to the user, and elements within selected priority spaces may be updated in priority over other priority spaces.

The preferences can be communicated to a printer where the books are printed from a loaded plurality of book parts. There can be a deficient or excess number of loaded book parts in relation to that specified in a print job ticket. The user preferences can dictate how the book printer is to handle any deficiency or excess in the book parts. In such cases, the operator and the book printer can take appropriate action, and the book printer can indicate the status of the print job to the operator.

摘要： An apparatus for practicing the inventive method includes a glass ampule having a tooth whitening solution vacuum sealed within a chamber of the ampule. The ampule is contained within a cylindrical plastic sleeve closed at one end and enclosed at its other open end by the proximal termination of a brush-type applicator. An adhesive such as glue is used to adhere the periphery of the brush to the inner surfaces of the plastic cylinder. The bristles preferably have circular cross-sections so that when they are tightly packed together and adhered to the plastic cylinder, interstices between adjacent bristles are sufficiently large enough to permit flow through of the tooth whitening composition while being sufficiently small enough to prevent shards of glass from the ampule, when broken open, to pass through the brush. A cardboard sleeve surrounds the plastic cylinder to protect the user from the glass ampule when broken. The method of using the inventive apparatus is also disclosed.
