    摘要: An objective measure of human QOL is determined by a QOL quantification system. The QOL quantification system comprises a QOL rules engine, a QOL measure datastore, a score data archive, a user computing device, and a network. The QOL measure datastore comprises quantifiable measures of QOL of a QOL factor. The QOL rules engine comprises instructions for receiving user data indicative of a plurality of attributes of a selected QOL factor of the user, obtaining measures of QOL from the QOL measures datastore associated with the selected QOL factor, evaluating the user data against the QOL measures of the selected QOL factor, determining a user score indicative of the QOL of the selected QOL factor of the user, storing the user score in the score data archive, and comparing the user score to a score stored in the score data archive. The QOL rules engine may also suggest change options to one or more QOL factors to improve the user score. The suggested change options may be presented as an ordered listed organized by a relative cost benefit measure.

    摘要: A method of detecting cyanide concentration in the cutaneously transpired gas of a patient, allowing for the timely implementation of an appropriate treatment. Where the skin of a patient suffering from cyanide poisoning has been burnt, the present invention provides for a noninvasive means of cyanide treatment. In practice, a material is impregnated with methemoglobin and attached to a patient's skin. A barrier means located between the impregnated material and the patient's skin allows for the transfer of cyanide gas from the patient into the material. However, this barrier means does not allow for the transfer of the methemoglobin from the impregnated material into the patient's skin. The material is monitored for photometric change, and, where a change indicative of cyanide poinsoning is present, appropriate treatment is administered.

    摘要: A system and method for establishing and retrieving data based upon global indices established on the date of first use by a user. The system uses a distributed data name service (DDNS) which uniquely identifies users based upon the unique ID of devices on the system combined with the date and time of first use. Both the unique device ID and the unique user ID's are stored on servers of the system. This unique user ID generated is used for all subsequent uses of the system by the user. Searching for data generated by devices of the system relating to a particular user is accomplished by searching for instances of the user ID on servers of the system rather than by searching for the data itself. A simplified data transport protocol allows for the transfer of data from one location to another after the data is located.
