摘要： An iris valve for controlling the flow of bulk solid materials includes a flexible cylindrical sleeve, a control ring, and a polymeric isolator disc, all sandwiched between upper and lower body members. Rotating the control ring twists the flexible sleeve in an iris pattern to close an opening through the valve. Clamp bands attached to the upper body member and control ring include a machined helical pattern to securely grip the ends of the flexible sleeve, and a threaded handle locks the control ring in place against the body members.

摘要： A rear light unit for a vehicle including a plurality of reflectors and bulbs assigned for forming a rear light, a brake light and a rear fog light. The invention aims to provide a rear light unit which is more compact for an identical number of signal lights. To this end the rear light is made up of a row of four reflectors and bulbs, at least two of which reflectors have bulbs with two power levels. One reflector together with a bulb switched to the higher power level forms the brake light while the other forms the rear fog light. The reflectors are arranged at a distance from each other which complies with the legally required minimum separation between the brake light and rear fog light.

摘要： A hybrid gas generator includes a pyrotechnic gas generator joined to a high-pressure vessel which is sealed with a sealing disk composed of a substance which chemically reacts with propellant gas produced in use so that the sealing disk is opened with an advantageously reduced acoustic pressure. The propellant gas is chemically reactive and is produced from a propellant composition which is present in a surplus amount and which is composed of a propellant which is oxidizable and at least one oxidant for oxidizing the propellant. The propellant gas attacks the sealing disk chemically and thermally, and continuously burns through it to release the gas from the high-pressure vessel into a mixing chamber in the pyrotechnic gas generator.
