Abstract: In an example 3D printing method, an electrical conductivity value for a resistor is identified. Based upon the identified electrical conductivity value, a predetermined amount of a conductive agent is selectively applied to at least a portion of a build material layer in order to introduce a predetermined volume percentage of a conductive material to the resistor. Based upon the identified electrical conductivity value and the predetermined volume percent of the conductive material, a predetermined amount of a resistive agent is selectively applied to the at least a portion of the build material layer in order to introduce a predetermined volume percentage of a resistive material to the resistor. The build material layer is exposed to electromagnetic radiation, whereby the at least the portion coalesces to form a layer of the resistor.

Abstract: In an example, an apparatus includes processing circuitry comprising a model assessment module to identify an indication of a conductive element within object model data representing an object to be printed and a print instruction module to generate print instructions to generate the object. The print instructions may include an instruction to print conductive agent to form the conductive element and an instruction to print a fusing agent comprising an instruction to reduce an amount of fusing agent to be printed in a region of the conductive element compared to at least one other region of the object.

Abstract: Described herein is electromagnetic shielding that is configured to attenuate electromagnetic interference (EMI) by at least a threshold amount when the EMI has a frequency within a predefined frequency range. The electromagnetic shielding includes a layer of metal, such as aluminum foil, and a layer of thermoplastic polymer fabric (such as woven polyethylene fabric), where the electromagnetic shielding has several apertures that extend therethrough. The electromagnetic shielding is at least partially draped over electronic equipment that is to be shielded from EMI.

Abstract: A blade for a wind turbine including heating means connected to power cables, a lightning protection system including a down conductor, and surge protection devices is provided. The heating means include a first radiant element and a second radiant element arranged adjacent to each other around a leading edge of the blade, the first radiant element being connected to the power supply cables through respective electrical connectors at the respective connection points, and the down conductor is connected to each power supply cable at the connection points through the respective surge protection device, the second radiant element being connected to the first radiant element so that the second radiant element is electrically supplied only through the first radiant element.

Abstract: A device includes a coater, a dispenser, and a treatment portion. The coater is to coat, layer-by-layer, a build material relative to a build pad to form a 3D object. The dispenser is to at least dispense a fluid including a first at least potentially electrically conductive material in at least some selected locations of an external surface of the 3D object. The treatment portion is to treat the 3D object to substantially increase electrically conductivity on the external surface of the 3D object at the at least some selected locations.

Abstract: The embodiments described herein provide for lightning protection in aircrafts constructed with Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP). In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a first Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) panel, a second CFRP panel that overlaps with the first CFRP panel in a vertical direction, and a fastener to join the first CFRP panel with the second CFRP panel, the fastener extending in the vertical direction in an area where the first CFRP panel and the second CFRP panel overlap. The apparatus further includes a plurality of electrically conductive pins in each of the first CFRP panel and the second CFRP panel, wherein the pins extend in the vertical direction proximate to the fastener to electrically connect the first CFRP panel and the second CFRP panel in the area where the first CFRP panel and the second CFRP panel overlap.
