    Abstract: Electrodialysis apparatus for reducing the mineral salt content of liquid materials having dispersed organic constituents (e.g., whey). Means are provided for controlling certain factors during the course of an operating cycle, including the applied stack voltage and the resistivity of the concentrating solution, together with the selection of membranes to provide low working membrane resistance, whereby demineralization of such materials is made more efficient, with savings in processing costs.

    Abstract: This invention provides a new approach to the dry-cleaning of garments and fabrics by using ultra-sonic energy as to the cleaning force. The garment first enters a pair of air compartments which prepare the garment for the wash tank. In the wash tank, which is filled with a liquid solvent, transducers in the wall of the tank apply ultra-sonic energy to the garment to clean it. Upon emergence from the tank, the garment again passes through compartments which first dry the garment and then cool it.

    Abstract: A jointless braided sealing ring and a method and a special machine for producing it are disclosed. The braided sealing ring adopts a multi-layers braided structure comprising a number of continuously sleeved ring layers arranged from inside to outside. The innermost braided ring layer is the core. The tail end of the first braided ring layer is sleeved on the starting end of the first braided ring layer and serves as the starting end of the second braided ring layer to implement continuous braiding without interruption. N braided ring layers have (N−1) continuous intact braided ring layers. The tail end of the outermost braided ring layer is superposed with the starting end of the innermost braided ring layer. Service life and sealing effect are increased.
