Abstract:
A gas transfer segment of a vacuum swing adsorption process cycle utilizing multiple parallel adsorbent beds which undergo cyclic process steps to separate the components of a feed gas mixture, each bed having a feed end and a product end, wherein the gas transfer segment comprises a step of withdrawing a waste gas stream from the feed end of a first bed, withdrawing a transfer gas from the product end of the first bed and introducing the transfer gas into the product end of a second bed, and withdrawing a waste gas stream from the feed end of the second bed.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for producing high purity argon by combined cryogenic distillation and adsorption technologies is disclosed. Crude argon from a distillation column or a so-called argon column is passed to a system of adsorption vessels for further purification. Depressurization gas from adsorption is introduced back, in a controlled manner, to the distillation column and/or a compressor or other means for increasing pressure. Particulate filtration and getter purification may optionally be used.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a plasma display panel and method for manufacturing the same in which electron discharge characteristic is improved and a voltage margin can be secured. According to a first embodiment of the present invention, a plasma display panel including a plurality of a pair of display electrodes formed and arranged parallely on an upper plate, a plurality of address electrodes formed on a lower plate and arranged to be crossed to the display electrodes, a barrier rib defined a discharge space on the lower plate, and fluorescent body formed between the barrier ribs, includes further: a number of discharge cells having the discharge space; and an alkali metal layer formed in the discharge cells for supplying electrons to the discharge space.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to nucleoside derivatives represented by general formulas I and II, their synthetic methods and their pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof, and compositions containing such compounds. Methods for treating hyperproliferative disorders by administering the compounds are also included.
Abstract:
Pressure swing adsorption process for the separation of a feed gas mixture comprising (a) providing a pressure swing adsorption system comprising one or more composite beds, each composite bed comprising adsorbent material disposed in two or more vessels in parallel flow configuration, each vessel having a feed end and a product end; (b) performing cyclic sequential steps comprising adsorption/make product, withdrawing gas at decreasing pressure from the composite bed, purging the composite bed, and introducing gas into the composite bed at increasing pressure; and (c) for any of the sequential steps, setting a flow rate or flow rates of one or more gases selected from the group consisting of gas introduced into or withdrawn from the feed end or ends of any of the two or more vessels and gas introduced into or withdrawn from the product end or ends of any of the two or more vessels.
Abstract:
A plasma display panel is provided which evenly deposits a phosphorus layer by forming a buffer layer before forming the phosphorus layer within a discharge cell of a rear surface substrate. The plasma display panel includes a front substrate on which are formed common sustain electrode and scan sustain electrodes and through which light is emitted and a rear substrate on which discharge cells are formed by barrier ribs and address electrodes. The rear substrate may be bonded to the front substrate by frit glass.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an indirubin derivative having anticancer property by inhibiting cell proliferation as to human cancer cell line. More particularly, this invention provides the synthesis of indirubin derivative known as CDK(Cyclin-dependent kinase) inhibitor. Further, inhibition activity of proliferation as to human cancer cell line and apoptosis against induced-differentiation of said indirubin derivative are researched to develop a novel indirubin derivative having efficacious anticancer properties as to various human cell lines.
Abstract:
System for restraining the upward motion of granular material in a vessel containing a bed of the granular material through which a fluid flows in an upward direction. The system comprises flexible porous basket within the vessel in contact with the top of the bed of granular material and in contact with the inner walls of the vessel above the bed of granular material, wherein the porous basket has openings which are smaller than the smallest particles of the granular material such that granular material does not pass through the openings. The system also includes a layer of solid bodies located within the flexible porous basket wherein the solid bodies press the flexible porous basket against the top of the bed of granular material and against the inner walls of the cylindrical vessel above the bed of granular material.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a radial flow reactor including a pair of beds configured to produce a product by processing a raw material supplied thereto. A substance being produced or the product is movable between the pair of beds before the product is moved to a separate reservoir. The ratio of the area of an outlet with respect to the area of an inlet in each of the pair of beds is adjusted such that, when the substance being produced or the product is introduced into the outlet of one bed of the pair of beds from the other bed of the pair of beds, limited processing efficiency caused by the limited area of the outlet in each of the pair of beds is overcome.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating inflammatory disease, colorectal cancer and prostate cancer, which contains an A3 adenosine receptor agonist, 2-chloro-N6-(3-iodobenzyl)-4′-thioadenosine-5′-N-methyluronamide (thio-Cl-IB-MECA), N6-(3-iodobenzyl)-4′-thioadenosine-5′-N-methyluronamide (thio-IB-MECA), or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The pharmaceutical composition of the invention is significantly less toxic than conventional A3 adenosine agonists, and thus is useful for prevention or treatment of inflammatory disease. In addition, it more selectively inhibits the growth of androgen receptor-dependent or independent prostate cancer cells than other A3 adenosine receptor agonists and thus is useful for prevention or treatment of colorectal cancer or prostate cancer.
