The 3D glasses include a transparent display unit displaying at least one of information on 3D content and a control screen for controlling a 3D display device on a 3D glasses unit, a transmission/reception unit receiving at least one of the information on the 3D content and the control screen for controlling the 3D display device from the 3D display device and transmitting the received signal to the transparent display unit, and a control unit controlling the transparent display unit to display the information on the 3D content or the control screen for controlling the 3D display device.
Abstract:
An optical disc drive includes a main body at which a spindle motor is installed. A tray installed at the main body is loadable/unloadable into/from the main body, and a disc holder is rotatable by the spindle motor when the tray is in a loaded position, and is joinable to a clamping hole of a disc so as to fix the disc.
Abstract:
A washing machine and a control method thereof in which a tub washing course is safely performed using a sensor to measure vibration of a tub. Since whether or not laundry is present in s drum is sensed while performing the tub washing course, consumption of separate time, water, and energy to sense whether or not laundry is present is not required, and operation of the washing machine is controlled by diagnosing malfunction of the sensor. If plural sensors are installed, a micro-computer is connected to the plural sensors in common through a Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) communication method or an Inter Integrated circuit (I2C) communication method, thereby reducing costs and volume of wire-harness.
Abstract:
A method of determining the type of disk loaded on an optical disk drive, and an optical disk drive using the method are provided. The disk decision method includes operations of detecting a change in the magnitude of a focus error signal generated during a focus search for a recording layer of a disk closest to an outermost layer of the disk, wherein the change in the magnitude of the focus error signal depends on a change in a recording layer of the disk for which aberration correction is performed, and determining a recording layer architecture of the disk according to the detected change in the magnitude of the focus error signal.
Abstract:
A method of detecting weight of laundry contained in a washing machine. A calibration mode is provided that is performed separately from a washing mode such that a detection error of the weight of laundry, which occurs due to external environment factors, is calibrated when the weight of laundry is detected using a motor. The calibration mode is provided to find the weight detection offset data of the washing machine based on external environment factors, and to store the weight detection offset data found. When the weight of laundry is detected in a next washing mode, the weight of laundry is calibrated by use of the weight detection offset data of the washing machine, so that the weight of laundry accommodated in the washing machine is precisely detected.
Abstract:
Provided are a method and apparatus for transmitting and processing an Inter-IC Sound (I2S) format audio signal. The method of transmitting an audio signal in a normal serial audio format between a first logic unit and a second logic unit, the method includes: converting a first additional information signal with regard to the audio signal into a second additional information signal in the normal serial audio format; and transmitting the second additional information signal using a channel for transmitting the audio signal.
Abstract:
A liquid crystal display device is disclosed, in which a heat protection plate is formed between the LCD panel and the fluorescent lamps, to transmit the light emitted from the fluorescent lamps, and to reduce the heat generated in the fluorescent lamps being transmitted to the LCD panel, so that the LCD panel is less affected by the heat generated in the fluorescent lamps. The device includes an LCD panel displaying an image by controlling a transmitted light, a plurality of fluorescent lamps formed below the LCD panel at fixed intervals, and a heat protection plate formed between the LCD panel and the fluorescent lamps, to transmit the light emitted from the fluorescent lamps, and to prevent the heat generated in the fluorescent lamps from being transmitted to the LCD panel.
Abstract:
An audio and video synchronization compensation method and apparatus for smoothly compensating audio and video synchronization in an audio and video system such as a DTV and a DVD player are provided. The apparatus includes a signal decoder unit which extracts time information for reproducing a video and/or audio signal and reference operation time information of a reproduction system from an input compressed stream; a signal synchronization control unit which determines the reproduction state of a signal by comparing reproduction time information of the stream with reference time information of the system, measures the difference between the reproduction time information and the reference time information in the determined signal reproduction state, and adjusts a transition speed used to approach from a signal reproduction interval to a signal synchronization interval according to a reproduction speed value of a pattern corresponding to the difference.
Abstract:
An audio system apparatus and method for processing multi-channel audio data are provided. In the audio system, information indicating a correspondence relation between the channels of the multi-channel audio data and speakers installed in an arbitrary space is generated based on selection by a user, and according to the generated information, the channels of the multi-channel audio data are rearranged. By doing so, terminals of the output panel of the audio system and speakers can be connected arbitrarily according to convenience of a user and channels of multi-channel audio data can be set appropriately to the connection status.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method thereof detect a location of a pickup in an optical disc. A pickup reads and writes a signal from or to the optical disc. A spindle motor rotates the optical disc. A controller measures a rotational speed of the spindle motor to detect a current location of the pickup in the optical disc, wherein the pickup is determined to be located in an area of more than 90 minutes of the optical disc based on ATIP information recorded on the optical disc.
