An image sensor module having a sensor chip closely adhered on a concave surface and a fabrication method thereof are disclosed. The image sensor module includes at least one sensor chip, at least one sensor chip-mounting structure comprising a substrate and a polymer layer formed on the substrate, the polymer layer having an concave surface formed on an upper part thereof by a polymer molding method, so that the sensor chip is bent and bonded on the concave surface, and at least one lens fixed on the at least one sensor chip-mounting structure above the sensor chip.

A wafer-level lens module with an extended depth of field (EDF) and an imaging device including the wafer-level lens module are provided. The wafer-level EDF lens module includes a plurality of wafer-scale lenses stacked with fixed distances therebetween. The plurality of wafer-scale lenses includes an effective lens having a profile which satisfies a corrected optimized aspheric function, wherein a profile of a center region of the effective lens is optimized for an infinity-focused image and a profile of an edge region of the effective lens is optimized for a macro-focused image.

A method of generating a help file used commonly in different models of image forming apparatuses includes reading a setting value indicating a function provided by one of the image forming apparatuses, setting a field value of a parameter corresponding to the read setting value, and configuring a help message based on the set field value of the parameter. A system to generate a help message includes a configuration module to determine identification information regarding each of a plurality of functions of an object included in one of software versions and characteristic data regarding the software version, and a universal help file including function descriptions for all of the software versions provided in a computer, receiving the identification information and the characteristic data, and generating the help message regarding the object using the function descriptions according to the identification information and the characteristic data. The function descriptions include a section filled with the characteristic data.
Abstract:
A fluidic lens and method for manufacturing the same are provided. The fluidic lens includes a transparent optical fluid and a double elastomer membrane. An outer membrane of the double elastomer membrane that is externally exposed includes a Poly DiMethyl Siloxane (PDMS) elastomer, and an inner membrane of the double elastmoer membrane that makes contact with the optical fluid is transparent and includes an elastomer which has a low coherence with respect to the optical fluid.

The varifocal lens includes: a membrane; a frame which is fixed to the membrane and has a receiving hole formed in the middle; a transparent substrate which is fixed to the frame to seal optical fluid received in the receiving hole; one or more actuators to change a curvature of a fluid lens part by bending the circumference of the fluid lens part formed around a central portion of the receiving hole; and a restriction lessening member which is adapted to lessen a restrictive force of an edge of the fluid lens part, is made of a transparent material, has with an area smaller than the fluid lens part to correspond to an inner side of the fluid lens part except the edge of the fluid lens part, and has a larger Young's modulus than the membrane.

Provided is a varifocal lens and method of manufacturing the varifocal lens. The varifocal lens includes a transparent substrate, a spacer frame arranged to form an inner space on the transparent substrate, wherein the inner space is to be filled with an optical fluid, a rigid frame disposed to be adjacent to the spacer frame, and an optical membrane and an actuator which are formed on a surface of the rigid frame. The rigid frame supports the actuator and the optical membrane, wherein the actuator applies a pressure to an optical fluid and the optical membrane is modified according to a flow of the optical fluid.

A geomagnetic sensor for auto-calibration of a deviation and a method of using the geomagnetic sensor. The geomagnetic sensor includes a geomagnetic detector including X-axis and Y-axis fluxgates orthogonal to each other and receiving a drive signal to detect an electromotive force corresponding to a geomagnetism, a signal processor converting the electromotive force output from the geomagnetic detector into X-axis and Y-axis output values and outputting the X-axis and Y-axis output values, and a drive signal generator applying the drive signal to the geomagnetic detector. Each of the X-axis and Y-axis fluxgates includes cores, a solenoid type exciting coil, and at least two detection coils winding around the cores in a solenoid form. Accordingly, as an azimuth is measured using output values detected by the separated detection coil, the azimuth can be exactly and easily detected regardless of an external magnetic field.
