摘要: The present invention relates to a head-mountable information processing apparatus allowing a user to hear a desired sound even if ambient sound unnecessary for the user is present. An audio input interface includes sound microphones worn in the vicinity of the user's ear, collects the ambient sound that occurs outside the head-mountable information processing apparatus, and converts the ambient sound into an input audio signal. An audio output interface, including headphones, converts a generated output audio signal for output, and emits the audio output toward the user. Based on a volume level of the input audio signal and a volume level of the output audio signal, a controller determines whether or not a state in which the ambient sound is preventing the audio for output from being heard is occurring, and based on a determination result, the controller controls a sound emission operation of the audio output interface.

The relative mapping system to use wireless or ultrasonic signals to determine distance from the first and second earbud to the companion information handling system. The processor uses distance measurements and a difference between the distances to determine a distance and a direction to the companion information handling system.

摘要: A digital compass with two or more multi-axis magnetometers and a processing element to determine a heading and detect any offset error in the heading is described. One electronic device includes first and second magnetometers. The second magnetometer can be disposed at least a specified distance or co-located and offset at least a specified angle from the first magnetometer. A processing device determines a magnetic field at the electronic device using a first output from the first magnetometer, detects an offset error in the magnetic field using a second output from the second magnetometer, and reports the offset error in the magnetic field.

The magnetometer includes a multipass cell containing Rb-87 vapor, a pump laser operated in a pulse mode that is synchronous with a Larmor frequency, and two orthogonal probe lasers configured to rotate to vary a direction and magnitude of a magnetic field at different spin polarization regimes.

摘要: According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method and system for determining and tracking an indoor position of an object, the method comprising: using a primary position indication, based on signals received from an external positioning system of at least two different positions of said object to calibrate tracking of a secondary position indication, which is an indoor position, and wherein the tracking of the secondary position comprises: recording acceleration data of a second part of the object, integrating said acceleration data, determining a characteristic position of the cyclically moving second part of the object in subsequent cycles, measuring a geomagnetic first orientation of the second part of the object in said characteristic position, determining the second direction of movement of the first part of the object, computing a velocity of the object in any direction based on the acceleration data, and determining the secondary position indication of said object based on said direction data and said velocity data.
