Abstract: A process for the preparation of liquid developer compositions which comprises mixing a resin with a low vapor pressure oil at elevated temperatures permitting the resin to melt and enabling the formation of a resin oil mixture; thereafter adding to the oil resin mixture at elevated temperatures pigment particles, and stirring until the pigment has become dispersed in the resin; followed by attriting the mixture while cooling, for example, to ambient temperatures; thereafter filtering the aforementioned mixture, and dispersing the product in a low viscosity oil; and subsequently adding to the formed mixture a charge control additive.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, a method for printing an image on a substrate includes applying a clear liftoff material to a surface of the substrate to form a sacrificial pattern, the clear liftoff material being substantially optically clear, and applying a first marking material to the surface of the substrate to form a first static pattern, a portion of the first static pattern arranged directly above a portion of the sacrificial pattern. The method further includes removing the portion of the first static pattern from the surface of the substrate, and removing the sacrificial pattern from the surface of the substrate.

Abstract: Conductive coatings usable for coating various elements of corona generating devices and method of forming such coatings are provided. The coatings include graphite and at least one transition metal oxide catalyst. When the conductive coatings are employed in elements of corona generating devices and the devices are activated, the conductivity of the elements is maintained in a manner that preserves the ability of a photoreceptor in an image forming device to retain an image charge in a fashion sufficient to allow subsequent development with toner. The coatings also function to scavenge ozone and neutralize nitrogen oxides formed during operation of corona generating devices. Corona generating devices including elements having such coatings are also provided.
