An information processing apparatus includes a content detector portion, a display controller portion, an operation state detector portion, and a popup display controller portion. The content detector portion detects contents belonging to a same time range from different types of contents. The display controller portion collects the contents detected by the content detector portion and belonging to the same time range, displays content-related graphical information of the respective contents collected in units of the respective time range, and displays on the display portion a selector. The operation state detector portion detects an operation state of an operation portion. After detecting a predetermined operation state, the popup display controller portion detects a content having past time information with respect to the time information of the selected content, and popup displays content-related graphical information of the detected content on the display portion.

A notification system, including a notification database and a notification application, receiving notification content from a sending device and provides the notification content for rendering on a target receiving device. The notification database may store, for each of a plurality of instances of notification content, the notification content in association with a target receiving device identifier and rendering instructions. The rendering instructions may comprise at least identification of a rendering time and a rendering location. The notification application i) receives, from the sending device, the notification content, the target receiving device identifier, and the rendering instructions; and writes such notification content, target receiving device identifier, and rendering instructions to the database.

A currently captured image R of an object is displayed nearly at a center portion of a display frame SC on a display screen ST1 that is a shooting mode. When a time dial 22 is rotated for one step in the counterclockwise direction, the currently captured image R is moved rightward. A reproduced image P1 captured before the currently captured image R is displayed on the left thereof. A reproduced image P2 captured before the reproduced image P1 is displayed on the left thereof. The currently captured image R and the reproduced images P1 and P2 are displayed at the same time on a display screen ST2 as a co-existent state of a shooting mode and a reproducing mode. When the time dial 22 is rotated for one step in the counterclockwise direction, only the reproduced images P1 to P4 are displayed on a display screen ST3 that is a reproducing mode. As a plurality of reproduced images, the reproduced images P1 to P4 are displayed along a time axis.

A notification system, comprising a notification database and a notification application, receiving notification content from a sending device and provides the notification content for rendering on a target receiving device. The notification database may store, for each of a plurality of instances of notification content, the notification content in association with a target receiving device identifier and rendering instructions. The rendering instructions may comprise at least identification of a rendering time and a rendering location. The notification application i) receives, from the sending device, the notification content, the target receiving device identifier, and the rendering instructions; and writes such notification content, target receiving device identifier, and rendering instructions to the database. The notification application further provides the notification content and rendering instructions to the target receiving device associated with the target receiving device identifier such that the target receiving device may render, on its user interface, the rendering content when the target receiving device is at the rendering location and/or at the rendering time. The identification of the rendering location may be at least one of: i) GPS coordinates; and ii) a location associated with predetermined GPS coordinates in a mapping database. As such, the rendering location may be determined by the target receiving device referencing a GPS receiver system. Alternatively, the identification of a rendering location may comprises identification of a unique identifier of a point to point wireless communication module associated with a third device—with which the target receiving device is capable of communication only when it is within a limited distance from the third device. As such, the target receiving device may identify that it is within a limited distance from the third device upon detecting the unique identifier of the point to point wireless communication module of the third device. The third device may be a mobile device or a static device.

A desired image is quickly retrieved from many images that have been stored. Reproduced images are horizontally arranged on time axis. Horizontal lines are displayed above the plurality of images. The horizontal lines are delimited every image group such that images that belong to the same image group are visually identified. Dots are displayed on individual lines corresponding to representative images P11 and P12 that belong to individual image groups. In addition, photographed dates and times are displayed only on representative images P11 and P21 that belong to image groups. A plurality of reproduced images are simultaneously displayed on an LCD 13. Among these reproduced images, representative images are identifiably displayed. When a desired image is selected from reproduced images, left and right feed buttons of a cross key 27 are pressed and representative images that belong to individual image groups are selected. When a dial key 28 is rotated, a desired image is selected from images that belong to the selected image group.
