Abstract: Terminal connection device for connecting an end of a medium- or high-voltage power cable to a connection point, comprising an interface cable, an inner conductor and a conductive or semiconductive layer. The terminal connection device further comprises a first stress control tube comprising a stress control element and an insulation layer arranged around the stress control element. The terminal connection device further comprises a first cable connector for connecting the interface cable to the power cable. The terminal connection device further comprises a second stress control tube comprising a stress control element and an insulating layer arranged around the stress control element, wherein the second stress control tube is mounted over the second end portion of the interface cable and at least a portion of the first cable connector. The terminal connection device further comprises one or more tubular shrinkable sleeves.

Abstract: Bushing for connecting a separable connector to a switchgear or to a transformer in a national grid for distributing electrical power at medium or high voltages. The bushing comprises a) a bushing body of a solidified, electrically insulating casting material; b) a bushing conductor, embedded in the casting material, for conducting power at medium or high voltages into the switchgear or the transformer, and c) an integrated primary capacitor, operable in a high-voltage portion of a voltage divider for sensing a voltage of the bushing conductor. The primary capacitor comprises a low-voltage electrode, a high-voltage electrode and a dielectric. The high-voltage electrode is a section of the bushing conductor. The low-voltage electrode is embedded in the casting material and comprises a circumferential wall surrounding the bushing conductor and forming a cavity. The dielectric is formed by a portion of the casting material arranged in the cavity. The circumferential wall comprises a mesh of conductive wires forming a plurality of apertures between the conductive wires to allow the casting material radially outside the circumferential wall to be mechanically connected with the casting material in the cavity.

Abstract: Sensored insulation plug (1) for being inserted into a separable connector in a power distribution network comprises a plug body (140) formed by a solidified insulating material (610), and a primary capacitor (150), operable as a high-voltage capacitor in a voltage divider for sensing the elevated voltage. The primary capacitor includes a high-voltage electrode (160) for direct electrical connection to the elevated voltage. A sensing electrode (170) of a tubular shape, embedded in the plug body (140), arranged around the high-voltage electrode, comprises a deformable mesh of conductive wires forming a plurality of apertures between the wires to allow portions of the insulating material (610) on opposite sides of the mesh to be mechanically connected with each other by insulating material in the apertures while the insulating material solidifies and thereafter. A dielectric formed by a portion (180) of the insulating material (610) is arranged between the sensing electrode (170) and the high-voltage electrode (160).

Abstract: A capacitor comprises an electrically conductive cylinder, an electrically conductive or semi-conductive cylindrical shell or shell segment arranged concentrically around the electrically conductive cylinder, and a dielectric arranged between the electrically conductive cylinder and the electrically conductive or semi-conductive cylindrical shell or shell segment. The dielectric comprises a particulate composite including a matrix material having a non-zero (e.g. negative) thermal coefficient of relative permittivity and a particulate filler material blended with the matrix material, the particulate filler material having an opposite (e.g. positive thermal) coefficient of relative permittivity. The positive thermal coefficient of relative permittivity is thereby selected such that the capacitance value of the capacitor is constant within a stability margin over a predefined temperature interval.
