Abstract: This application describes techniques for detecting a single event based on consecutive actions. For instance, a network device may associate a first electronic device that includes a first field of view (FOV) with a second electronic device that includes a second FOV. When the network device receives data indicating that the first electronic device detected possible motion, the network device may transmit a first message to a client device. Additionally, when the network device receives data indicating that the second electronic device detected motion within a threshold period of time to the first electronic device detecting the motion, the network device may not transmit a second message. Determining not to transmit the second message may be based on characteristics of the electronic devices, such as locations of the electronic devices, fields of view of the electronic devices, or a distance between the electronic device devices.

Abstract: Direction control of audio/video (A/V) recording and communication devices in network communication with additional cameras is provided. In one embodiment, an A/V recording and communication device comprises: a first camera configured to capture first image data, wherein the first camera is pointed in a first direction; a communication module; and a processing module comprising: a processor; and a camera application that configures the processor to: maintain the first camera in a low-power state; receive a power-up command signal from the backend server based on an output signal from a second camera; receive an orientation signal from the backend server based on the output signal from the second camera; point the first camera in a second direction in response to the orientation signal; power up the first camera in response to the power-up command signal; and capture the first image data in response to the power-up command signal.

Abstract: Temporarily suppressing and/or disabling notifications to a client device of events detected by a security device monitoring an environment. The notifications may be disabled and/or suppressed based upon a request from a user of the client device, or when the client device is nearby the security device. The user may request that notifications are suppressed for a definable suppression duration, wherein a timer is started to run for the suppression duration, and notifications are suppressed while the timer is running. When the client device is nearby the security device, suppression of the notifications for other users may be defined by a user-configurable table. A notification from a security device may include a suppress button to suppress notifications from that security device for a suppression period.

Abstract: This application is directed to techniques and processes for notifying a user about power levels of electronic devices. For example, a first electronic device may receive data representing the power level of a second electronic device. The first electronic device may then determine that the power level is below a threshold power level. After the determination, the first electronic device may detect a user and/or a client device located within a threshold distance to the first electronic device and/or the second electronic device. The first electronic device may then send data to the second electronic device, wherein the data includes a command to emit light according to a pattern indicating that the power level is below the threshold power level. Additionally, the first electronic device may send a message to the client device, where the message indicates that the power level is below the threshold power level.

Abstract: An audio/video recording and communication device configured as a doorbell has a housing with a support structure and a removable faceplate. A flexible translucent membrane of the faceplate supports a button aligned with a mechanical switch when the removable faceplate is attached to the housing such that a plurality of light emitting elements are positioned around the mechanical switch transmit light through the translucent membrane. A removable battery casing is configured to hold at least one battery and has a release button physically coupling with a detent of the support structure to retain the removable battery casing within the support structure. The removable battery casing may be removed from the device for recharging without removing the device from a surface on which it is mounted.

Abstract: Video footage captured by A/V recording and communication devices may be readily uploaded to the cloud and shared with a requesting party, such as a law enforcement agency. When a request is received from a requesting party for video footage, videos meeting the criteria specified by the requesting party may be determined. Consent requests may then be sent to users associated with each of the A/V recording and communication devices that recorded the videos meeting the criteria specified by the requesting party. When user consents to share the videos, the videos may be provided to the requesting party.

Abstract: Methods for a speaker device in accordance with various embodiments of the present disclosure are provided. In one embodiment, a method for a speaker device is provided, the method comprising transmitting a first provisioning beacon signal using the communication module; receiving, in response to the provisioning beacon signal, at least one credential signal from a network device configured to provide an access point, wherein the at least one credential signal includes credential data; storing the credential data in the non-volatile memory; attempting to connect to the access point using the credential data; determining whether the attempt to connect to the access point was successful; and playing a first audio prompt, using the speaker, upon determining an unsuccessful connection to the access point, wherein the first audio prompt comprises a statement indicating that the connection to the access point was unsuccessful.
