    Abstract: A method includes: displaying a user interface including an instant messaging conversation between a first person and a second person, the instant messaging conversation displaying content balloons with instant messages exchanged between the first and second person. The method also includes: in accordance with a determination that the second person is typing the instant message, displaying a typed-message-preparation indicator in the user interface of a communication application. The method further includes: in accordance with a determination that the second person is drawing the instant message, displaying a drawn-message-preparation indicator in the user interface of the communication application. In response to receiving the instant message prepared by the second person that corresponds to the displayed message preparation indicator, the method includes: ceasing to display the typed-message-preparation indicator or the drawn-message-preparation indicator, and displaying a content balloon that contains the instant message prepared by the second person in the instant messaging conversation.

    Abstract: An electronic device with a touch-sensitive surface and a display displays a representation of a clock on the display, detects an input directed to the representation of the clock, while detecting the input directed to the representation of the clock, and provides tactile feedback that corresponds to the clock, wherein the tactile feedback includes a regular pattern of tactile outputs on the touch-sensitive surface.     Abstract: An electronic device with a touch-sensitive display detects an input on the touch-sensitive display, which includes detecting a contact on the touch-sensitive display while the touch-sensitive display is in a low power mode. In response to detecting the input on the touch-sensitive display while the touch-sensitive display is in the low-power mode, if the input meets display-activation criteria, the device displays a respective user interface on the touch-sensitive display, wherein the respective user interface was not displayed on the touch-sensitive display when the touch-sensitive display was in the low-power mode. And, if the input does not meet the display-activation criteria, the device maintains the touch-sensitive display in the low-power mode after detecting the input without displaying the respective user interface on the touch-sensitive display.
