Abstract: An apparatus is configured to be employed within a base station. The apparatus comprises baseband circuitry which includes a radio frequency (RF) interface and one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to select one or more recovery channels based on one or more recovery factors; determine a beam recovery frame structure using the selected one or more recovery channels and based at least partially on beam correspondence capabilities; and provide the selected one or more recovery channels and the determined beam recovery frame structure to the RF interface for transmission to a user equipment (UE) device.

Abstract: Technology for a user equipment (UE) operable to encode a New Radio (NR) short duration physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) for transmission to a Next Generation NodeB (gNB) is disclosed. The UE can identify uplink control information (UCI) for the UE. The UE can multiplex, using frequency division multiplexing (FDM) at the UE, the UCI and a pseudo-random sequence associated with a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) onto a plurality of subcarriers in one or more physical resource blocks (PRBs) of one or more orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols. The UE can encode the UCI and the pseudo-random sequence associated with the DMRS multiplexed onto the plurality of subcarriers of the one or more OFDM symbols for transmission on the NR short duration PUCCH to the gNB.

Abstract: Embodiments include apparatuses, methods, and systems that may be used in a UE in a mobile communication network to communicate with a gNB. An apparatus may include a memory and processing circuitry coupled with the memory. The processing in circuitry may cause coarse time and frequency synchronization information, obtained from primary and secondary synchronization signals (PSS/SSS), to be stored in the memory. Based on the coarse time and frequency synchronization information, the processing circuitry may decode a physical broadcast channel to obtain a first system information, and may acquire a second system information based on the first system information. Based on the first and second system information, the processing circuitry may cause a transmission of a PRACH, to trigger a transmission of a TRS by the gNB. Other embodiments may also be described and claimed.

Abstract: Herein described are apparatuses, systems, and methods for measurement and reporting of channel state information within wireless network systems. In embodiments, an apparatus for a user equipment (UE) may include memory to store a rank indicator (RI), a precoding matrix index (PMI), and a channel quality indicator (CQI) of channel state information (CSI) for the UE. The apparatus may further include circuitry to concatenate the RI, the PMI, and the CQI to produce a concatenated CSI element, generate a CSI report that includes the concatenated CSI element, and cause the CSI report to be transmitted to a base station within a single slot. Abstract: Provided herein are method and apparatus for perform radio link monitoring (RLM) based on a Reference signal (RS). An embodiment provides a user Equipment (UE) comprising circuitry configured to: decode a Reference Signal (RS) received from an access node; and determine beam quality for one or more beam pair links (BPLs) of the RS between the UE and the access node based on the decoded RS, wherein each of the BPLs comprises a transmit (Tx) beam of the access node and a receive (Rx) beam of the UE. Also provided is a procedure of RLM. At least some embodiments allow for beam recovery request for UE beam refinement, and allow for determining whether radio link failure (RLF) occurs.

Abstract: Network devices and systems in 5G advance long term evolution (LTE) and new radio (NR) infrastructures utilize beam management operations to ensure communications for channel state information (CSI) reporting by a user equipment (UE). CSI report configuration reporting settings are processed based on a codebook subset restriction to indicate pre-coding matrix indicators (PMIs) that are restricted and non-restricted for PMI reporting associated with a rank indicator (RI). Based on the codebook subset restriction, an advanced CSI codebook or a new radio (NR) codebook is generated to be transmitted on non-restricted beams of the codebook subset restriction.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and mechanisms for preemption of non-low latency data within an aggregated medium access control (MAC) protocol data unit (AMPDU), e.g., such as in current and future IEEE 802.11 systems. A wireless device (e.g., an access point or wireless station) may transmit, during an AMPDU, a trigger to receive (TRX) frame. The TRX frame may indicate preemption of non-low latency data intended for a first wireless station with low latency data intended for a second wireless station, e.g., via an acknowledgement policy change. Additionally, the wireless device may be configured to transmit, to the second wireless station, the low latency data within the AMPDU. Further, the wireless device may be configured to receive, after the AMPDU transmission is complete, a multi-block acknowledgement (M-BA) frame from the second wireless station. The M-BA frame and completion of the AMPDU transmission are separated by a short inter-frame space (SIFS).
