Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for performing Synchronization Single Block (SSB) transmission using a number of SSB beams. An embodiment operates by determining a SSB index for a SSB based on a candidate position in a set of candidate positions and the number of SSB beams. The embodiment determines a shift value for the SSB index based on the candidate position and the number of SSB beams. The embodiment determines a frame timing for the SSB based the SSB index and the shift value for the SSB index. The embodiment then transmits, by radio front end circuitry, the SSB to a user equipment (UE) based on the frame timing for the SSB.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for a wireless communication on an unlicensed spectrum. An access point (AP) of the wireless communication system includes a processor circuitry, and radio front end circuitry coupled to the processor circuitry. The processor circuitry is configured to schedule multiple transmission time intervals (multi-TTIs) in a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) in the unlicensed spectrum. The processor circuitry is configured to generate a downlink control information (DCI) to include the scheduled multi-TTIs and a hybrid automatic repeat and request acknowledgement (HARQACK) assessment information associated with the scheduled multi-TTIs. The radio front end circuitry is configured to transmit the DCI to a user equipment (UE) over the unlicensed spectrum.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) can include processing circuitry configured to decode synchronization information within a synchronization signal (SS) block, the SS block received within a SS burst set and occupying a subset of a plurality of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbols within a slot. At least one of the symbols in the subset coincides with a pre-defined symbol location associated with a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) of a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). A synchronization procedure can be performed with a next generation Node-B (gNB) based on the synchronization information within the SS block. The DM-RS can be detected within the slot, where the DM-RS starts at a symbol location that is shifted from the pre-defined symbol location and following the subset of symbols. Downlink data received via the PDSCH is decoded based on the detected DM-RS.

Abstract: Described is an apparatus of a User Equipment (UE). The apparatus may comprise a first circuitry, a second circuitry, and a third circuitry. Abstract: Embodiments of a User Equipment (UE), Next Generation Node-B (gNB) and methods of communication are generally described herein. The UE may receive, from a gNB, configuration information related to a 2-step random access (RA) procedure between the UE and the gNB in unlicensed spectrum. The 2-step RA procedure may include: an uplink MsgA message that includes, within a random access occasion (RO), a MsgA preamble and a MsgA payload; and a downlink MsgB message that includes, within another RO, a MsgB PDCCH and a MsgB payload. The configuration information may indicate: resources allocated for the MsgA preamble; and a mapping between the resources allocated for the MsgA preamble and the MsgA payload. The UE may determine the resources allocated for the MsgA pay load based on the resources allocated for the MsgA preamble and the mapping.

Abstract: An approach is described for a user equipment (UE) for transmission of hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) feedback in communication with a next-generation NodeB (gNB) using new radio unlicensed (NR-U) in an unlicensed spectrum. The UE receives downlink (DL) data in a first channel occupancy time (COT). The UE also receives a triggering downlink control indicator (DCI) during a second COT, the triggering DCI providing an indication of a HARQ feedback that is pending for a corresponding HARQ process, and the second COT carrying no scheduled DL data. The UE transmits the HARQ feedback based on the triggering DCI.

Abstract: A mode of operation is provided for user equipment (UE) communicating in unlicensed carrier (e.g., NR-unlicensed). Abstract: Systems and methods of in-sync/out-of-sync (IS/OOS) determination in the unlicensed band are described. Reference signals are measured on the unlicensed band. If the UE determines that at least one of the reference signals is missing, the IS/OOS condition is evaluated on that basis. If the missing signals are ignored when determining the IS/OOS condition, and the IS/OOS condition is unable to evaluated, the L1 sends an indication to the RRC layer. If the number of indications exceeds a threshold, the UE performs re-establishment or sends a report to the base station for adjustment of the reference signal resources. If the missing signals are counted, the missing signals are weighted based on proximity to the noise floor or a number of adjacent signals that are missing.
