    Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards providing guidance, e.g., point-to-point audio guidance, along an evacuation route. The presence of occupant(s) within a structure/area is monitored. If an evacuation event occurs, an evacuation route is determined for each occupant based on their current monitored starting location. Guidance is output, e.g., by various output devices along the evacuation route, which can be the safety monitors that monitor occupant presence, to guide each occupant from point-to-point along the evacuation route. For example, one monitor can be configured to hand off guidance responsibility to a next monitor along the evacuation route. The guidance can be customized for each known occupant based on their recognized features, or can be directed generally to an unknown occupant. Status information of the occupants can be provided to other occupants and to a responding entity. A responding entity can also be given directional guidance.

    Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards presenting a medical practitioner with information that assists the practitioner in communicating with a given patient. Baseline data describing a medical patient is obtained, such as from one or more previous visits. The baseline data can be compared with current data, e.g., sensed by patient biosensors and/or discerned from a current video of the patient during the visit. Historical and/or known healthy data can be used as baseline data. Interaction data representing an interaction (e.g., a conversation during a current visit) between the medical practitioner and the medical patient is determined. Based on the baseline data and the interaction data, during the interaction between the medical practitioner and the medical patient the medical practitioner can be presented with coaching data to assist the medical practitioner in communicating with the patient.

    Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards creating a media content presentation for playback, based on user specified input criteria and playback instructions. A user specifies input criteria related to media source data. The media source data is accessed, and further based on the input criterion, matching segments (e.g., scenes and audio) are determined from metadata information that describes the segments; the media playback content is generated from the matching segments. A user may also specify criteria/instructions that describe how to play the matching segments, such as in linear order, or based on relative relevance such as scene impactfulness. A matching scene can be repeated, and/or augmented with annotation data. For any matching scene or transition between two matching scenes, specified playback speed and audio volume can be specified and applied. As part of generation, the media content presentation can be fit to a specified time constraint.

    Abstract: The technology described herein is generally directed towards allowing a user to switch among media streams of live events, including generally concurrent events, and among different media streams that are available for the same event.     Abstract: Disclosed is managing (creating and maintaining) attendance/participation data describing remote attendance of attendees of an event, or a replay of the event. The event can be a virtual reality event. When a remote user attends an event, subsequent viewers of the event replay can see a digital representation (e.g., an avatar) of the remote user within the replay as having attended the event in-person. Subsequent replays include digital representations of the remote user and the user(s) that viewed previously replay(s) to emulate their attendance. User can manage their own attendance data, including to obtain proof of attendance. A user can delete his or her presence at an event, such that replays after the deletion do not include that user's representation. A user can go anonymous with respect to an event, such that any replays after the anonymity choice include only a generic representation of the attendee.

    Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, providing to a user device a video content item including at least one scene which includes a plurality of advertisement placement opportunities and determining a preference profile for an individual associated with the user device. Aspects further include selecting a group of matching advertisements having advertisement profiles that match the preference profile for the individual and determining a relative prominence score for each advertisement placement opportunity. Aspects further include ordering the matching advertisements according to prominence information specified for each matching advertisement, wherein the prominence information corresponds to a relative desired prominence specified by an advertiser associated with the matching advertisement. Aspects further include providing the ordered matching advertisements to the user device according to the respective prominence information so that a matching advertisement having a greatest desired prominence is displayed in the video content item at an advertisement placement opportunity having a highest relative prominence score.
