摘要:
A metal vapor discharge lamp whose near-infrared radiation is stronger than a conventional high-pressure discharge lamp, a projector utilizing this discharge lamp, and a metal vapor discharge lamp lighting device are disclosed. The metal vapor discharge lamp comprises a refractory light-transmitting hermetic vessel, a pair of electrode fixed to the hermetic vessel, and a discharge medium sealed in the hermetic vessel and containing a halide and a rare gas. Most of the light irradiated when the discharge lamp is in the ON state has near-infrared wavelengths (750–1100 nm).

A metal halide lamp includes a refractory, light-transmitting hermetic vessel, a pair of electrodes sealed in thehermetic vessel, a discharge medium including a halide and a rare gas, and metal storing means storing at least one selected from the group consisting of potassium (K), rubidium (Rb) and cesium (Cs), the metal storing means being heated during lighting and gradually discharging at least one metal in the hermetic vessel.
摘要:
Disclosed is a metal halide discharge lamp which essentially permits disusing mercury. The metal halide discharge lamp comprises a refractory and transparent hermetic vessel, a pair of electrodes fixed to the hermetic vessel, and a discharge medium sealed in the hermetic vessel and containing a first halide, a second halide and a rare gas, the first halide being a halide of a metal which achieves a desired light emission, the second halide having a relatively high vapor pressure, being at least one halide of a metal which is unlikely to emit a visible light compared with the metal of the first halide, and acting as a buffer gas.

The present invention provides a high-pressure discharge lamp that uses substantially no mercury and reduces discharge flicker. The high-pressure discharge lamp is kept on with a lamp power of 50 W or lower in a stable state, and the temperature T (° C.) of the electrode at a point at a distance of 0.3 mm from the tip end to the base end in the stable state and the amount A (mol/cc) of free iodine produced when the lamp is turned off after 100 hours of on-time satisfy the formula (1):T2/A>1011.

The present invention relates to a metal halide lamp substantially containing no mercury, a metal halide lamp lighting device using the same and an automotive headlamp apparatus using the same. And object of the invention is to provide such products in which a rapid rising of luminous flux is achieved. A metal halide lamp (MHL) according to the present invention has: a discharge vessel having an inner volume of C (cc) and having a pair of electrodes (2), (2) sealed in a hermetic vessel (1a) at opposite ends of a discharge space (1a) in the hermetic vessel (1a) at a distance of 5 mm or less; and a discharge medium containing xenon gas at 3 atmospheres or higher, a halide of sodium Na, and at least one of halides of scandium Sc and rare earth metals, the melting point of the halides being T (K), in which a lamp power in a stable state is 50 W or lower, and the formula (1) is satisfied: (H/C)×[R/(T/500)6]
摘要:
