Abstract: Embodiments are presented herein for adjusting the conduct of routine communications of safety messages in V2X networks in order to conserve resources in participating power-limited devices while satisfying V2X system latency demands. Scheduling (e.g., timing and/or frequency) of safety message communications performed by certain UE devices participating in a V2X network may be dynamically adjusted according to various criteria, such as factors relating to the DRX cycle schedule, motion or mobility, traffic environment, and/or battery or power capabilities of the UE devices, which may conserve UE resources and power consumption. Certain UE devices may efficiently transmit safety messages to the V2X network using one of several proposed RACH-based procedures. In some embodiments, the size of safety message communications may be reduced through various compression techniques, and/or by reducing the amount of contained information, e.g., by omitting certain parameters, which may reduce the resources consumed by performing safety message communications.

Abstract: A device may monitor a first search space (SS) corresponding to an active first component carrier (CC), and detect first control information (CI) that identifies an inactive second CC. In response to receiving the first CI, the device may activate the inactive second CC to make it an active second CC. The device may also set up a second SS corresponding to the active second CC, and may monitor the second SS to schedule the active second CC and receive a physical data channel. The first CI may also include additional scheduling information and a start time for reception of the physical data channel. The device may operate in a first bandwidth part (BWP) according to a first communication configuration associated with the first bandwidth part, and may switch to operating in a second BWP and to operating according to a second communication configuration associated with the second BWP.

Abstract: The systems, methods, and apparatuses can receive one or more communication signals traversing through a communication channel. The systems, methods, and apparatuses can estimate one or more known parameters, characteristics, and/or attributes of the communication channel, for example, scattering, fading, and/or power decay over distance, through a process referred to as channel estimation. The systems, methods, and apparatuses can develop various channel coefficients, for example, amplitudes and/or phases, describing the channel response of the communication channel at discrete intervals of time, also referred to as taps. The systems, methods, and apparatuses can assign taps to various priorities and, thereafter, utilize these priorities to selectively include their corresponding channel coefficients in a CSI report or exclude their corresponding channel coefficients from the CSI report.

In addition, the instructions may be based, at least in part, on the recommended beam quality measurement configuration.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for a wireless device to indicate a preferred bandwidth part and duty cycle in a cellular communication system. A wireless device and a cellular base station may establish a radio resource control connection. The wireless device may transmit an indication of a preferred bandwidth part, or a preferred communication duty cycle, or both, to the cellular base station. The cellular base station may select a bandwidth part, or communication duty cycle, or both, based at least in part on the indication provided by the wireless device, and may transmit an indication of the selected bandwidth part, communication duty cycle, or both, to the wireless device. The cellular base station and the wireless device may perform cellular communication using the selected bandwidth part, communication duty cycle, or both.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) device may reside in a state of dual connectivity with a master cell group (MCG) and a secondary cell group (SCG), wherein the radio access technologies of the MCG and the SCG are different. While in the dual connectivity state, the UE device may transition to a mode of reduced activity (e.g., processing and/or RF activity) relative to the secondary cell group (SCG) in order to save power, e.g., when traffic flow via the SCG is below a threshold, or when scheduling activity on the SCG is low. Various mechanisms may be employed to reduce activity, e.g., mechanisms such as reduction of beam monitoring, deactivation of secondary cells of the SCG, reduction of number of active antenna elements, employment of longer periods for periodic measurement and reporting processes, etc.
