    摘要: A method for manufacturing a ceramic electronic component having excellent solderability is provided. In this method, the elution of barium from the ceramic electronic component and the adhesion of ceramic electronic components in tin plating are reduced. The method for manufacturing a ceramic electronic component includes the steps of providing an electronic component of barium-containing ceramic and forming an electrode on the outer surface of the electronic component, the electrode being electroplated with tin. In this method, a plating bath used in the tin plating has a tin ion concentration A in the range of 0.03 to 0.51 mol/L, a sulfate ion concentration B in the range of 0.005 to 0.31 mol/L, a molar ratio B/A of less than one, and a pH in the range of 6.1 to 10.5.

The tin plating adhesion of the resulting ceramic chip electronic components can be limited to a certain level.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method of trace analysis of organic compounds which calls for the steps of setting a test piece in a flow cell, and thereafter removing organic compounds from the test piece by heating it at high temperature in an oven. The compounds are concentrated in a trap tube and then removed from the trap tube and carried into a concentrating/inlet unit, such as a thermal desorption cold trap injector. In this unit, cryofocusing of the compounds is performed, and then the organic compounds are introduced into a gas chromatograph to be analyzed therein, wherein a part of the purified inert gas is caused, except during the process of trapping the organic compounds, to flow into the flow cell from the direction opposite the direction from which the gas flows along the trapping line. The invention also provides an apparatus to be used for the method, including an analyzer having a flow cell, a trap tube connected to the flow cell, a detector connected to the trap tube, and a flow rate controller connected to the flow cell. This can be brought into communication with the trap tube and is so formed as to permit a test piece, such as a wafer, to be removably set therein and also permit a carrier gas to flow therethrough. A channel for purified inert gas is provided between the flow rate controller and the flow cell and also between the flow rate controller and a valve that communicates with the flow cell.

    摘要: A gas-leak detector includes a suction pump that sucks sample gas and reference gas, two gas detection sensors, and a cell block having a cell therein. The cell receives the gasses and has two suction-gas introduction channels and a single gas discharge channel opening thereinto. The gas-leak detector detects a gas leak on the basis of outputs from the sensors. The introduction channels and the discharge channel open into the cell at a first one of opposing surfaces of the cell, the opening of the discharge channel being arranged between the openings of the two introduction channels. The sensors are on the same plane as a second one of the opposing surfaces and are arranged between the opening of the discharge channel and the openings of the introduction channels. The suction pump is arranged on the cell block and communicates with the opening of the discharge channel.
