Abstract:
The incremental index of refraction change due to the properties of electrooptic material is enhanced by providing multiple reflection of a light beam between mirrors disposed on opposite sides of the electrooptic material, particularly if one of the mirrors is concave and the other convex. A light beam deflector of this construction is disclosed in an analog-to-digital coder and is also well adapted for use in time-division multiplex systems.
Abstract:
Digital-to-analog conversion circuits are described in which a plurality of capacitors are charged by digitally weighted voltages. The capacitors are then placed in series to provide an analog output voltage. A system is also shown in which a plurality of these digital-to-analog conversion circuits are operated from a common voltage source.
Abstract:
Circulating pulse code modulation (PCM) encoder and decoder which utilize capacitive charge redistribution techniques. A means for automatic scaling to adapt reference voltages to the signal to be converted is also provided.
