Abstract: This invention, in embodiments, relates to a method that includes obtaining a spray application system that is configured to apply a fluid material to a surface. The spray application system includes (i) an airless spray device that is configured to receive the fluid material and to spray the fluid material onto the surface, and (ii) a receptacle that is attached to the airless spray device and is configured to supply one or more components to the fluid material. The method further includes supplying the fluid material to the airless spray device, supplying one or more components to the fluid material via the receptacle, and spraying the fluid material and the one or more components onto the surface using the airless spray device of the spray application system. The one or more components are capable of triggering curing of the fluid material. This invention further relates to a spray application system.

Abstract: A cover board and roofing system including a cover board are disclosed. In one embodiment, the cover board includes a core having a first surface and a second surface. The core is configured to overlie a roof substrate. The cover board includes at least one facer attached to the first surface, the second surface, or both the first surface and second surface of the core. The cover board includes a reinforcing layer positioned between the core and the at least one facer. The reinforcing layer may comprise a scrim material. An impact resistance of the cover board may be greater than an impact resistance of an identical cover board without the scrim material.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an adhesive formulation comprising a high viscosity silyl modified polymer. In some embodiments, the adhesive formulation may further comprise additional components, such as but not limited to, at least one moisture scavenger, at least one adhesion promoter, at least one catalyst, at least one filler, at least one plasticizer, at least one antioxidant, or any combination thereof. In some embodiments, the adhesive formulation may exclude a low viscosity polymer. In some embodiments, the adhesive formulation may include a low viscosity polymer in no more than a specified amount. At least one method of using the adhesive formulation and at least one roofing system comprising the adhesive formulation are also described herein.

Abstract: This invention, in embodiments, relates to a device and a method of attaching a roofing membrane to a building surface that prevents and/or reduces overspray of adhesive onto a welding seam area. The device includes an insertion mechanism configured to hold a roofing membrane as the roofing membrane is being attached to a building surface via an adhesive, and an extension frame attached to the insertion mechanism, the extension frame including a channel that is configured to support and to hold at least one board, to thereby reduce the adhesive from spraying onto a welding seam area as the roofing membrane is being applied to the building surface.
