Abstract: Methods and systems for refilling a container during an endoscopic procedure. An illustrative reservoir may be placed in selective fluid communication with a water bottle. The water bottle may form a fluid tight seal with the reservoir to transfer water from the water bottle to the reservoir.

Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to devices, systems, and methods for controlling the flow of fluids in endoscopic systems, such as endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) enabled endoscopes. Some embodiments are particularly directed to valve sets and/or valve interface mechanisms for controlling air and water flow through a valve well for an endoscopic system. Several embodiments are directed to user interface mechanisms and techniques for enabling an operator to interact with and control endoscope valves. In one or more embodiments, manufacture of the valve sets and/or valve interface mechanisms, collectively referred to as flow controllers, may be simplified, such as to make it economical to dispose of the flow controller after a single use.

Abstract: The cleaning valves (or valves) of the current disclosure are generally single-use devices (SUDs) and therefore disposable. Reusing SUDs can be disadvantageous, as single-use devices are not designed to be reusable. Accordingly, valves for medical devices, such as endoscopes, disclosed may be configured to transition from a first state to a second state for indication of utilization of the valve, e.g., via exposure to a valve well. The transition from the first state to the second state may prevent reuse valves of the present disclosure. In embodiments, the valve may be made from a limited number of components and materials.

Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to devices, systems, and methods for controlling the flow of fluids in endoscopic systems, such as endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) enabled endoscopes. Some embodiments are particularly directed to valve sets and/or valve interface mechanisms for controlling air, water, and/or suction flow through a valve well for an endoscopic system. Several embodiments are directed to user interface mechanisms and techniques for enabling an operator to interact with and control endoscope valves. Many embodiments are directed to mechanisms and techniques for translating interface input motion into valve control motions. In one or more embodiments, the valve sets and/or valve interface mechanisms may be disposable.

Abstract: Various embodiments described hereby may separate one or more functionalities/components provided via the tower in order to alleviate the physical barrier created by the umbilicus and reduce the need of the umbilicus to connect to the tower. For example, the liquid source may be worn by the user (e.g., physician) or the liquid source may modularly attach to the endoscope, such as to the handle of the endoscope. Accordingly, several embodiments described hereby may improve user experience such as by giving the user greater freedom of movement without sacrificing functionality. Some embodiments provide a source and means of using water without requiring the umbilicus to physically attach to the tower, improving range and ease of motion for a user by removing the need to navigate about a water connector.
