Abstract: In some embodiments, the present disclosure pertains to a unit dose pack for forming a bath for cleaning medical instruments. The unit dose pack may comprise at least a first chamber that contains an enzymatic detergent composition comprising one or more enzymes, the first chamber being formed from at least one first sheet of material that comprises a water-soluble film, and the at least one first sheet of material encapsulating the enzymatic detergent composition, wherein upon immersion in water, the enzymatic detergent composition is released from the first chamber into the water. In other embodiments, the present disclosure pertains to a method of cleaning a medical instrument using at least one such unit dose pack. In some embodiments, the medical instrument is an endoscope.

Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to fluid container enclosure systems that couple with a fluid container and enable different systems, such as endoscopic systems, to access the contents of the fluid container, such as via a tubing set. The enclosure systems are configured to fit a wide range of fluid container necks, ports, or other openings, including various opening dimensions, thread finishes, and/or thread dimensions. In one embodiments, an enclosure system may include a cap having multiple carriages arranged therein. For example, a primary carriage may be arranged within the cap to engage with larger-dimensioned bottles. A secondary carriage may be arranged to float within the primary carriage to engage smaller-dimensioned bottles that bypass the primary carriage. Other embodiments are described.

Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to fluid container adapters that couple with a fluid container, so to enable access to the contents of the fluid container, such as from an endoscopic system via a tubing set. Several embodiments are particularly directed to a fluid container adapter that can couple with an opening in a variety of fluid containers to place one or more tubes in fluid communication with an interior of any particular one of the variety of fluid containers.

REUSE PREVENTION FOR SINGLE-USE VALVES FOR MEDICAL DEVICES

Abstract: The cleaning valves (or valves) of the current disclosure are generally single-use devices (SUDs) and therefore disposable. Reusing SUDs can be disadvantageous, as single-use devices are not designed to be reusable. Accordingly, valves (or valve assemblies) for medical devices, such as endoscopes, disclosed may be configured to transition from a first state to a second state in response to utilization of the valve, e.g., to control fluid flow through a valve well. The transition from the first state to the second state may prevent reuse of valves of the present disclosure. For instance, a lumen between first and second orifices in a valve stem may be blocked or disconnected.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for connecting tubes to an endoscope. A connector for connecting tubing, such as gas/lens wash tubing, to fluid ports of an endoscope may include a first end that couples with the tubing and a second end for engaging fluid ports of an endoscope. The connector may have a stabilizing component configured to facilitate securing the second end to the endoscope. In some cases, the connector may include a device coupling member configured to couple to the endoscope and a core structure adding stability to the device coupling member and configured to couple to the tubing. In some cases, the stabilizing component may include an actuator and a retention component that adjusts in response to actuation of the actuator.
