A distal tubular member may be attached to the push member. The distal tubular member may have a second outer diameter larger than the first outer diameter.
Abstract:

The plurality of electrode assemblies may be disposed on an outer surface of the expandable member. Each of the plurality of electrode assemblies may include enhanced tear resistance properties such as through the inclusion of a reinforcement structure with one or more of the layers of the electrode assemblies.
Abstract:
Medical devices having electrically conductive pathways are disclosed. More particularly, the disclosure is directed to catheter shafts including an electrically conductive wire embedded in a polymeric tube. The disclosure is also directed to catheter shafts including an electrically conductive media coextruded in a polymeric tube. The disclosure is also directed to catheter shafts including electrically conductive pathways formed with electrically conductive ink, paste, adhesive and/or epoxy.

Medical devices and methods for making and using medical devices are disclosed. An example medical device may include a guide extension catheter. The guide extension catheter may include a proximal member having a proximal outer diameter. A distal sheath member may be attached to the proximal member. The distal sheath member may have a distal outer diameter greater than the proximal outer diameter. The distal sheath member may have a proximal end, a distal end, and a longitudinal slit extending at least partially between the proximal end and the distal end. An expandable member may be attached to the distal sheath member and may extend along the longitudinal slit. The expandable member may be configured to shift between a first configuration and an expanded configuration.
Abstract:
Medical devices and methods for making and using medical devices are disclosed. An example medical device may include a renal nerve modulation device. The renal nerve modulation device may include an elongate shaft. A balloon may be coupled to the shaft. The balloon may have a hydrophilic electrode region. A sensor may be coupled to the balloon and may be disposed adjacent to the hydrophilic electrode region. An electrode may be coupled to the catheter shaft and may be disposed within the balloon.
Abstract:
Ablative catheters and methods for making and using the same are disclosed. The catheter may have a proximal end, a distal end, and a first lumen extending at least partially between the proximal and distal ends. The catheter may include at least one ablative port located adjacent to the distal end of the catheter. The catheter may include an ablative mechanism capable of ablation using an conductive fluid circulated to the ablative port through the first lumen. An expandable member may be disposed at an outer surface of a distal portion of the catheter. The expandable member may be capable of switching between a collapsed position and an expanded position using an expansion fluid circulated to the expandable member through a second lumen. In the expanded position, the expandable member may be sized and shaped to position the ablative port at a suitable distance from a wall of the vessel.

Abstract:
The disclosure pertains to an intravascular catheter for nerve modulation, comprising an elongate member having a proximal end and a distal end, a balloon having a lumen and a balloon wall, the balloon wall comprising RF permeable sections and non-electrically conductive sections, an electrode disposed within the balloon and extending distally to the furthest distal RF permeable section. The RF permeable sections may comprise a plurality of RF permeable windows, each window having a greater circumferential dimension than an axial dimension. The intravascular system is suited for modulation of renal nerves.

Medical devices and methods for making and using medical devices are disclosed. An example medical device may include a guide extension catheter. The guide extension catheter may include a proximal member having a proximal end, a distal end, and a proximal diameter. The guide extension catheter may additionally include a collar member attached to the distal end of the proximal member, the collar member comprising a base portion and one or more ribs connected to the base portion and extending distally away from the base portion. In still some additional embodiments, the guide extension catheter may further include a distal sheath member attached to the collar member, the distal sheath member having a distal diameter larger than the proximal diameter.
Abstract:
Medical devices and methods for making and using medical devices are disclosed. An example medical device may include an elongate shaft having a proximal end region and a distal end region. A first lumen may be defined in the shaft. A second lumen may be defined in the shaft. The distal end region may include a common lumen region in fluid communication with the first lumen and the second lumen. A deflectable member may be disposed within the shaft. The deflectable member may be designed to shift between a first configuration where the deflectable member directs a first medical device disposed within the common lumen region into the first lumen and a second configuration where the deflectable member allows a second medical device to move between the common lumen region and the second lumen.
